Hey guys. I just got back from Cali. I went there last night around 8-ish, til 2 or 3 am, lemme tell you how it went…
well, I come in and got 9 wins in a row, went undefeated. Dunno if they were scrubs, etc, so idk. So no one wanted to play me so I moved over to another machine (the one with players on opposite sides). Finally, someone that beat me! so I played again, I won, and kept going back and forth for like 10 matches, got bored, moved to the big-screen machine and some hispanic guy who likes to use Colossus assist played me. He was surprisingly good considering Colossus! I mean, when I saw him pick him, you KNOW what went through my mind, but no he used sent pretty well, he never missed a fast fly and what-not. It was 4 matches til I could beat him, and after that we went back-and-forth. So this other skinny black guy (can’t remember your name, sorry!) comes in playing mag really well. Doing freestyle like Matt (TmD) or SooMighty. He played really well. I did beat him but his control over mag is very impressive. He kept playing and beat me and went back and forth again. He’s pretty much my main comp there. One particular match I remember was pretty tense and I was surely gonna lose but came back with Rogue on point (with like a sliver of life left). ppl cheered in the back, which I thought was pretty cool (you know, the whole new kid in town doing well thing, whatever).
However, I was sad that no one I knew from the old days showed up to play me… You darn new generation! arg!
And of course no one called or IMmed me (besides 1 guy who I don’t even think I played) so I didn’t know who I was playing, so there were no money matches. oh well.
If you were there, btw, I was the guy in shorts and black/white shirt playing Rogue/Mag/Cyke, Mag/IM/Rogue, Mag/Sent/Cyke, and Mag/IM/Cyke’

but i know the guys you played. u played a colosus mexican guy, hes not good. you saying u went back and forth with him sorta depresses me. every good player from ffa was at san diego last night for the ghengis kahn tourney. if you played a skinny black guy that had a good mag, it might of been a guy named fanatiq. if it was not him, then he also probably is not good. post here or in the team beast FFA thread before you go so i can set up all the good players to go play you. its really nice having new marvel comp here. i really look forward to playing you if you go tonight (sunday). post here or in the ffa thread.
Heh yeah I’m the black guy. I do good sometimes other times I suck. I also really have to warm up to the sticks cuz I dont’ play on em every day so it takes a LONG time to get warmed up. I ended up getting a 27 win streak that night (which finesse promptly ended). Ur mag wasn’t bad though, just ur rogue team needs to stop, hahahaha. Good games though. See u at evo.

Well, that trip to cali broke me. I was there for Magic Mountain, and shit in there is expensive, plus the rental car was much more than I thought it would be… I’ll try to have enough for money matches at evo.
