He can still be fought in the Haunted Manor map. The same paper bag masks can be found there too.

I thought the Monoculus can be damaged by melee. I saw a Demo charge it and take a hefty chunk out of its health, though a lot of people were wailing on it, so it might’ve been a crocket or something I didn’t see/hear.

I played some a bit last night and this morning, but I fired up the client to let it idle overnight. Got quite a bit of items (like 12 or so) and a hat (festive hat, christmas, wtf). Did they increase hat drop rate or something because what are the chances I’d idle a hat the first time idling in like 6+ months?
I’m going to be sad when Halloween is over.
well apparently the “full moon” restriction on halloween items means the actual days every month when the moon is full . . . or so someone said on the steam forums.
anyway, i’m very frustrated since these gift drops are horribly done. i’ve gotten zero and its pretty discouraging since there’s nothing but all scouts all day with everyone else making a mad dash when the “there’s a gift!” message pops up.
It’s weird. The gifts are big and colorful, yet I rarely ever see them.
The gifts spawn in specific spots, and the scout flock already has it memorized. When the manor event was on last year I was able to grab only one. I am having a better time just enjoying the event than worrying about getting items.
I’m pretty sure the items inside are just holiday specifics anyway.
i just read there’s valve confirmation that “Full Moon” means the actual full moon that happens once (and sometimes twice) a month
makes sense since, with all the work put into these item sets, using it once a year would have been a bit disappointing.

monoculus levels up (only within rounds) after being defeated. and he’s more aggressive now too.

I’ve crashed eight times tonight after the new update. It was fine before. It’s always within the first minute of joining a server, too, and it sucks.
Same here…gave up after the 5th time.
It seems to have something to do with particle effects… again. It usually happens when I look at a teleporter or someone on fire. Though I’ve sometimes crashed even trying to connect to the server in the first place.
I really hope this gets fixed today. I sent a report in. It’s happening to people on the Steam forums too.
They haven’t, hat drops are really rare. Nice drop considering Christmas is coming up.
Well they’re not that rare, considering I have like a page full of them now haha. I think they do indeed take time since last hat into consideration or something, the last few times I’ve idled after not playing for awhile I got a hat. One night I got 2 hats in one session, then the next day I was playing and got another hat! haha
Not that they drop like candies, but compared to how it used to be, it seems easier

Hats are fairly rare for me. I get one one about every month and a half-two months. And I play pretty frequently. More than fighters lately, actually. Dropping MvC3 for until finals are over, then I’ll get Ultimate. TF2/SNES classics and Vampire Savior in the meantime, though that’s not going to stop either.
