Updates/patches don’t make it to the 360 version as frequent as the PC version does…heck, they practically ignored the PS3 Orange Box.

I think the Valve chairman or a higher-up of Valve called the PS3 a “waste of time,” so I’m not surprised.

They didn’t even port it to the PS3, it was EA.

Okay…so the 3 Scout unlockables are revealed:

Sandman
Bat that can hit enemies across distances, and hit balls that can stun enemies…even uber’ed enemies…from great distances. Farther the bit goes, the longer the enemy is stunned if hit.
Drawback: can’t use double-jump.

IMO…hate it (I main Medic), but otherwise a fun weapon, especially during end of a win. There will be random balls flying everywhere on pubs…crap. This is my favorite of the three.

BONK energy drink.
Drink this, and do really fast…dodge bullets and whatnot.
Drawback: Become lethargic after effect wears off.

IMO…depending on how long the effects last, this may make CTB maps end much quicker. I think this ability will make good scout players even more dangerous. Mosqitos on crack…

Force-A-Nature.
Double Barrel Shotgun that can knockback enemies a ways.
Brawback: Less ammo…longer reload time…and get knocked back yourself w/ every shot.

IMO…depends on the reload time of the gun, but I think that this gun will start off making good scouts just broken.

I’m terribly excited for these Scout upgrades. I love the class, but it feels like damn near every other class is better than me. That Super Shottie should teach 'em.

HOLY SHIT AWESOME.

This is about the only thing I like about the scout update. Even though the scout is my favorite and most played class.

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

New features

Added The Force-A-Nature, The Sandman, and Bonk!

Added 35 new Scout achievements

Added crit boosted on/off sound effects

Added new sounds for upgraded teleporters

Added new sound for a fully charged medic dying

Add bonus points section to scores

Scouts earn a bonus point for killing Medics who are actively healing a target

Added several new speech concepts, mostly hooked up to new Scout lines

Added new “Remember last weapon between lives” option to the Multiplayer Advanced dialog

Spies can now control which weapon the enemy team sees them holding. Hitting the “last disguise” key while disguised updates the disguise to show the Spy’s currently held weapon

Added several new Arena mode announcer speech events.

Added “First Blood” to Arena mode

Removed 2x item respawn times in arena

Changed backstab handling to fix facestabs

Spies disguised as enemy team can now see player IDs for enemies

New maps

Added community maps: cp_egypt, arena_watchtower, and cp_junction

Updated cp_fastlane with Arttu’s new version

Mapmaker requests

Added new input for forward speed modifier to FuncTrainTrain

Added TeleportToPathTrack input to func_tracktrain

Bugfixes

Fixed a bug where players would sometimes gib from non-gib damage kills

Fixed stat screen showing an entry for a class called “map.”

Fixed item model panels not using team skins

Fixed obscure bug where spectators were able to carry the flag

GG’s to Magnetro, JAMMAR, and Azn Skater…I got Fall Classic totally by accident.

Oh…and TF2 is $9.99 until Friday.

I’ll keep an eye out for people on the SRK server, it sucks so many of the achievements are tied to the unlockables themselves, makes it harder to unlock the first item

Yeah, you kinda have to coordinate the first achievements so that you’re even able to unlock the weapons. I think Valve planned on releasing the Sandman first or something cause there are so many achievements tied to it. shrug.
