Just bought a computer a few days ago.
-AMD Athlon II X4 620 Processor 2.60 ghz
-6 GB Ram
-NVIDIA GeForce 9100 video card
I suppose that would be enough to run TF2 smoothly right?
I played on a pad last time I was on the SRK server. I dominated you.
That said, you can do lots of good stuff on a pad. I’m still more than capable of sniping, and I’m actually better with the Ambassador on a pad than with my mouse. But I cannot play scout for shit on a pad. You’re simply not able to keep up with the movement on a pad unless you have the sensitivity WAY up to the point where it takes a lot of getting used to (in which case you may as well get good w/ mouse and keyboard).
Thats pretty cool, what class were you playing? Spy? I could see that working alright, especially with the ambassador or hunstman, and its hitscan magic head shots. But especially if it was another class, that’s pretty good. Sadly I don’t remember us playing or anything so I don’t remember that session : (

You just bought a new computer and decided to go with AMD? You must be a diehard AMD fan as Intel is dominating at the moment.
I’m a diehard NVIDIA fan myself, but if I were to build a new computer today, I would actually consider going ATI. It would be my first ATI card, but those new DX11 cards they have are tempting…
I played a bunch of stuff…but not Spy that time (I only play as spy in 2Fort) and probably not sniper. Was probably a combination of Demo, Pyro, Heavy and Soldier. One of the highlights of my TF2 career, though, is getting five headshots in one life on 2Fort with a pad. I told everyone I was using pad and people were either surprised or called bullshit.
Yeah, what’s even sillier is building a new computer and getting a 9100, which I don’t even think will run anything decent these days. TF2 might be ok since its so processor intensive, but it won’t really feel like a new computer

Every time I play TF2 lately, it crashes in a few minutes.
Is that the only game that crashes?
The only games I’ve played lately are S4 League and TF2, and hl2.exe is the only thing acting up.
Delete your local content, and reinstall.
