Yo I don’t go to any of those places. I play at Shatto 39 Lanes but all the competition there is gone, and my Third Strike skills are so great now.
Calm it, I only use the stick when I’m in san diego, and half the gaming time is spent playing guilty gear, anyways (without the stick).

David, you’re such a dick, I cannot begin to describe it. It just so happens that I ran into an engineering assignment I couldn’t get a handle on so I took it out on big man abel. And chris and everyone else. I’m still just the same put-me-down kinda guy. You probably would fuckin beat me with elena.
I’m working on a new 270 technique with remy, going from a light to a rage flash without the charge. I’ve done it on accident a few times, and if I can get it consistently, I’ll be a lot better at keeping people in the corner.
Sorry I’m so sensitive. The doctors are going to give me a frontal lobotomy to correct that.

Team Control’s Official Super Happy Funtime Get-together #1: Alpha!
When: Next Saturday
Where: Abel’s pad. PM for directions if you’re coming by your lonesome
What: 3s, two DCs if possible; we’re going to be doing casual matches and intense lessons to get better with a single character. So the theme of the day is “get better, and get better fast,” but at the same time, have some good old fashioned wallopings and shit-talking with the gents. Also, i dunno how long we’re going to take, but let me know if you want me to reserve that big room again, 'cause now we know the damned secret to getting the big ass tv to move. Or we can just do it in the apartment, 'cause i think the roomies will be gone. I’ll also need to know if you guys want to eat RoundTable again, or if you’re in the mood for something new; i honestly wouldn’t know what else to try for food, but, i’m open to suggestions.
Also, would you guys want other SRK people over? I’m not talking about just zot zoners, but, we could try and invite other people, like cgl people to come, that is, if they’re not going to the T&T tourney.

Team Control Gathering
Sounds great, Abel! The gathering is just what we need since we all really need to improve in more was that just gameplay. In my case with Urien, I need to practice Aegis setups. (But Yall better stop blocking after I towards+forward yall into the mirror to emulate the unblockables )
Is “in your face out loud trash-talking” allowed in the gathering? I fell like I need to let some frustrations out cuz of this depression I’m going through. Seriously, I need to tell someone that “I’m gonna rip your head off and shit down your neck.”
Anyway, what time will the gathering start?
probably around 1. It being a saturday and all, most people want to wake up around…noon.
and yes, the shit talking is allowed. But not to the point where things get personal. Like you can say, “Anthony’s ken gets gayer by the minute”, but not say something to the effect of “Your mom sucks lemons, anthony”

Dude, “your mom” is less personal than “your ken is gay.” Anyways, we should have pizza, but not roundtable. Some place that puts sauce on their pizzas would do.
Anthony, I weep. It would appear that Akuma is impervious to the sweet nectar of love. For some reason the dashing punch seems to always knock him off the wall and send him flying in the opposite direction.

I do’nt know what kind of fruits this gettogether will bear, though. David’s stick has been pissing me off quite a bit, lately. The guy whose ass I normally beat was able to stomp me with only a three star handicap (on my part), and I kept doing jabs and shorts instead of throws and NEVER doing supers. I can understand the appeal of convex buttons, now, you don’t have to fucking put twenty pounds of force on the damn thing to get it to register. The stick itself is alright, but David’s going to blame me even though he wore it in the first place. harharhar. strangely, I can do charge moves and buffering just dandy, but anything else such as quarter circles are up in the air as to whether or not they’ll come out.
So, I’m probably going to bring my dragoncast pad in case I get tired of those light-weight things. Someone else might like hte feel, too. Doubtful, but possible.
Try to deal with the sticks, Eliot. It will be too much hassle plugging and unplugging controllers out of the DC. Also, there’s a slight however very real chance that doing such swapping will result in a burnt out controller port.

Well, i’m not exactly understanding Eliot’s problem with a stick. If the sticks aren’t competition buttons, then what’s probably happened is that whatever’s supposed to register the button isn’t working, which means the button/wires need replacing. If on the other hand, it’s the comp buttons like the ones on mine, then it means that the button is stuck and won’t bulge out.
There’s also an alternate issue which i had for a while. Which is the dreaded “A Controller Has Been Disconnected” message. As it turns out, mas sticks theoretically should have a battery source built in, but they don’t, so, they haul more electricity out of the dreamcast than it should. I noticed this because I’d get the message a lot when I was at home, and it was plugged into a surge protector. The thing is, I eventually realized that if I did too many motions at once and i got that message, the VCR’s lights (also on the surge protector) would flash. So, best thing to do, try to make sure that the only thing plugged in is the dreamcast, and the tv on the surge protector. Or, if it’s simply a wall outlet connection, just make sure there aren’t any adapters plugged into the outlet you plan on putting the DC on, 'cause the same problem will arise.
Abel’s sticks are probably alright, anyways. This one’s been wailed on too much.
