The video games list is on a small link to the upper left. They’re pretty well stocked for a public university (beats the shit out of U.H.). And they have ping-pong tables too . . . mmmmm.

Unfortunately, the arcade won’t be open on Saturday and Sunday so you’ll have to go back to your hotel to get your practice time during the tournament. I doubt they’ll stay open on the weekend just for the tournament but you never know. **

The action was pretty cool, the story got a little weird though. At the end, didn’t zion supposedly fall. But when you watch the preview of revolutions, you see that it didn’t fall, but was about to battle the machines. Thats why I got confused.

Thanks for the good games from all the FF people. The Perfect 360s have been shipped so I’ll be checking my PO Box regularly next week. If you play CvS2 a lot, please chip in some $10 to help defray the cost.

GN: if you can get some Perfect 360s for the MvC2 machine that’d be great. I’ll gladly donate money for that too.

Drugzzz suggested we start holding our own tournaments at FF? Maybe everybody puts down a $5 pot (or $5 of pot if you like) and we pay for our own games. It’d be easier if the machine were set on tournament mode though . . . that is, the game ends after every challenge but only one or two credits are needed to start both sides.

Actually tournament mode would be a great idea in general since it wouldn’t affect the way we play (somebody always challenges so the winner doesn’t lose anything) and the bonus is that the winner can choose different teams if we’re playing casual. This was how the Evo machines were set before the tournament last year.

And of course we’d have the flexibility of running our own tournaments without the oversight of Fun Factory. I like that aspect the most since we could run all sorts of competitions ad hoc. In addition to the regular $5-$10 double elim. tournaments, maybe we could have $0-$4 cuthroat single elim. or the odd team tournament or whatever the hell else we might feel like that night (king of the hill?).

Maybe MvC2 could be setup like that too (atleast just for Friday and/or Saturday nights)?

Only problem is HawaiianRyan won’t be able to keep track of his 20-some odd wins for the night . . .

What do you guys think? Would FF even be game for setting the machines to tournament mode on weekend nights?
