I meant the extended stun time, not an actual grab, which is why I listed those two moves.
Be aware that the law of conservation of momentum still applies, however, and that your partner will transfer his momentum to you and possibly kill you. For example, a high-damage Bowser getting hit by a soccer ball and crashing into a low-damage Kirby will likely kill Kirby.

Gdorf gets a huge boost in teams. A lot of his weaknesses like slow speed and problems vs. campers are forgiven with a partner that can move in and attack, building up damage while Ganon sets shimself up to kill at early percents.
I’ve found that R.O.B. is actually a pretty good team player too.
But yeah, pretty much any Heavy/Light combination is great. Provided you can be creative and think on your toes I’d say a longer ranged character like Snake or Olimar could work well with a heavy character. Of course it’s possible to mess up but if you can pull it off then you have yourself something scary.
I think Snake isn’t an ideal choice for bigger characters like DK/ROB/Bowser/DDD just because it’s hard not to catch your teammate in explosions.
Olimar is good with them because he is fairly accurate with his attacks and won’t accidentally hit his teammate much. Diddy works well too because he can rack damage and keep the opponent off balance for the heavy to KO.
A friend and I messed around with Ganondorf-Pikachu. The distraction of a good teammate really can get Ganon in there and slowly turn the clock to rape-o’-clock! It was the first time I ever touched Ganon and we wound up winning the little tournament. Not only is the combination effective, it’s fun as hell! I’ve had the most fun in this game so far in that little miniature tournament.
My friend and I playd ZSS/Metaknight. Not a very good team. Both lightweights and I kept killing my friend with ZSS foward-B. Plus he did not like the fact that I kept dying first and taking his stocks.
How do you guys feel about taking your partner’s stock? Do you just go ahead and take it or do you ask him first?
Taking your partner’s stock is a personal preference. Usually, 2 people always fare better vs. 2 others. Leaving a partner to get 2 vs 1 raped usually isn’t a good idea, but some people feel more comfortable fighting 1 on 2.
