Paul/Kuma sounds like serious 1-hit kills x
I was using Balrog/Paul
But now Ken/Paul
Thinking i might change again but not sure
Any ideas people?
been trying nina/ paul but i keep doing the wrong motions when i switch. raze and geyser cannon. nothing like hitting a cr mk than standing there.
Poison/Paul is pretty strong, Paul can do st.hp xx hk shredder st.hp xx hk shredder in corner to allow Poison to do cl.hp > cl.mp > Cr.hp xx lmt + ender for bit over 500 damage with decent meter build.
And midscreen, Poison can get cl.hp cadc cr.hp xx hk dp. Also Poison covers Paul’s weaknesses and vice versa, Poison covers the neutral game and gets Paul in and Paul covers Poison with his damage, I feel this is a very strong team.
Balrog sucks :x
I think both have the potential to br strong partners for Paul. Both are quite strong in the neutral game now and while they lack the mixups most of the cast has Paul more than makes up for it. I need to see if any of Balrog’s specials have enough blockstun to allow Paul to come in and start mixing stuff up.
Only reservation I have about Balrog is that to take full advantage of his team assist abilities it helps to have his partner be someone who is also effecfive at long range, where even with his buffs Paul still has issues (ie he can do a lot of safe meterless tags but it leaves you at a distance).

Well this game fucking sucks. Unbalanced.
Why? Because you find Balrog bad? Or something Paul related? If it is Boxer-related hit up his thread with your complaints. He certainly is not one of the top characters but he isn’t bad I’d say, so maybe I can help out.

What about Kaz/Paul? Kaz can deal damage without meter, get in relatively safe with mist step and other things, as well as build a good amount of meter.
Paul as anchor with some good launcher-trigger strenght boosting gems

Kaz is good on both positions, so it will work. It’s actually a scary team since both can deal some serious damage.<br>
I’m working on Law/Paul right now. I think it has some nice team synergy. Law can do some great enders with b.MP->MP ground bounce after HK.shredder tag. Also Law can deal with projectiles much better than paul can.
Law Paul is obviously a good team. Its damage all over the place, but you do need to either have a really good law. Or a REALLY REALLY good Paul. At least in certain matchups.<br>
I wanted a new team to play with and have picked up Nina & Paul. First day in the lab (1 meter, corner):<div> <div>[Nina] j.hp, cr.hp xx qcb+hk, cr.hp xx qcb+hk, lp+mp [tag Paul] tk hk, st.hk xx qcf+hp (541)</div><div><br></div><div>I know its a corner jump-in combo but still… 1 meter for 541 is pretty nuts. I can tell I’m going to enjoy these two :)</div></div>
I think the other way around you can net even more damage.<br>
