TE2 Crossbone - Electrical mods made significantly easier for the Madcatz TE2

Link? I can’t find it on their site

I’m having a hard time finding the 20pin male header to soder to the board. Help!!!

You have to email them and ask for it.

That means it’s in bootloader mode, move the switch input to HOME instead of START.

If you’re still having trouble with it registering, try shortening the 2 wires running from the PS360+ to the Crossbone.

I did that switch it to home and still the same thing

well i finally got it to work xbox360 but the joystick has a mind of its own help

How, and can you expound on the issue? I can’t help if you don’t give me more to go on. You never mentioned if you are able to even close the case correctly due to the wrong header being put on the crossbone. At a guess, that could also be part of your current problem. Can you open up the case, make sure the boards are 100% together, then plug it in to test on PC/PS3/360 with the PS360+ with the case still open? I want to make sure the physical boundaries of the JLF aren’t causing a problem.

Did you end up shortening the cables to get it to work, how did you get it to register? How about on PC when in PS360+ mode, when you load up the controller properties in windows? What lights up/does/doesn’t respond?

Yea the case closes

Again, please follow my questions/ suggestions and report back.

“It has a mind of it’s own” gives me nothing to help you on.

Emailed focusattack about getting the 20-pin male headers to solder on the pcb and they say they only have it as part of the crossbone kit right now, that they are working on getting this part to sell separately in the near future. So no 20-pin male headers available right now, only place that I can find them is china :frowning:

Hey Phreak solid product! Put it in this weekend and works flawlessly!

Awesome looking install. Nicely done.

Glad you’re up and running!

This isn’t really a complaint, but the xbox one automatically turns on when I plug in the stick. No button is being pressed while doing. Did I do something wrong and should I be worried?

Finally got it to work. one of the wires wasn’t solder all the way. its works fine now

Sounds like home is grounded

Just the controller applet on pc. No buttons are grounded.

That’s odd. I’ll try to look into it, the only thing I can think of is a side effect of the initialization in the board. Hmm.

Home doesn’t show up on the controller applet. use a meter

I’m confused. When I hit home button, it lights up on number 13. Also, if home was grounded, my stick should work when I plug it into the xbox 360. It doesn’t. I have to physically press to home button down for it to work.

My bad
