I ordered mine last Monday and got it on Friday
Can some explain how to install to ensure legacy support remain intact for ps360+?
i haven’t got mine yet. well see if it comes in today
I shipped all recent orders Monday, you should have it shortly. If not today then likely tomorrow.
You’ll need to put a neutrik jack into your stick, and then split the legacy wires so that the USB data wires (5 and 6 I think) go to the USB OUT section of the crossbone, then the rest go to the PS360+ as usual. The SYS 2 wires then go to the PS360+ positions 5 and 6 to complete the routing. The stock cable and connection won’t be usable anymore in this fashion though.
Alternatively, you still install a neutrik jack, install as normal, but route the RJ45 jack of the PS360+ to it, and then either have 2 cables, one for XB1 and one for the neutrik so that you can use it on other systems (360/ps3/etc) (still need to connect the SWITCH to some input), or try to route the lines 5 and 6 to the SYS 2 on the crossbone to try and use the neutrik just for legacy.
Note that that these types of setups are NOT tested as of yet, the crossbone should be OK with the lower voltage of systems like the PS1/2, but I can’t guarantee legacy setups right now.
thanks clayton. once I get all my parts in im going to try to make a install video for this
My headers and ribbon cable haven’t arrived yet. Can I still wire up the crossbone and te2 without it connected to an additional pcb and just use the xbox one functionality until my headers arrive. I don’t wanna damage anything before I try it. Just not completely sure on how it all works electrically.I know I can just solder wires between the 20 points on both pcbs, but is rather just wait for the headers.
yes but you will need to disconnect everything to solder the headers and stuff so why not just wait?
Had a bunch of free time and nothing to do. Figured I’d get started. Why would I have to unplug everything to install the headers? Looks like there’s plenty of room.
got everything hook up but xbox one is not picking it up. im getting that error on pc which driver is there it just saids FIGHTSTICK. When i try to switch to the ps360+ i doesnt do anything. plus led are not lighting up. any help thanks
Pictures always help. I need to know what button you wired for the switch, how the invert is done, and then of course how the USB is soldered. LEDs not lighting makes sense for the moment.
On XB1, the home button LED doesn’t light up and the system doesn’t pick it up, yet on PC it says fightstick? PS360+ could be a few things, first up is which button you used for the swap, second is the USB wire soldering.
Yes you can install it and just use it on XB1 for now, that’s totally fine. You can install the headers when you want to complete the mod of course.
Actually, I may adjust the install instructions to do the following, so for any new people installing do the following:
- For the main input USB, keep VCC and GND where they are, only cut and re-do the D+/D- of the USB. I’d rather power go into the XB1 PCB first and then power everything through the headers instead of the other way around.
- Install it without a connected secondary PCB, and make sure after the TE2 CB and USB lines are done up you can play and use it on XB1 before moving forward.
I did it the original instructed way, and and it works fine with just the xb1. I did however connect it all with the te2 pcb not in place. Didn’t know I wouldn’t be able to screw it back in. I see there’s instruction to connect the two without doing damage. What’s the best way to go about separating the TE2 and crossbone pcbs?
Just pull them apart with a nice even force, the sockets hold nicely via friction but a little pull on the boards will separate them quickly and doesn’t take a lot of force to do.
I’d personally do it from the end that the 3.5mm screw terminal spots are at, since the biggest grip which is the 12 position socket will come out last then and have the best leverage when coming apart.

my buddy just resolder everything is works on Xbox One now. im trying on the pc now and the ps360+ is not picking up. the switch is on the home button. should i switch to a different button on the crossbone. pc it keeps saying doesnt recognize device
I’m installed and working just fine. Using the two cord method until I figure the best solution for replacing the TE2 connector with rj45
Use A for swapping like the homies do.
Also i dunno if its just me but looks like you only have 1 wire coming from SYS2_IN to your PS360+.
Looks like you have START put as your swap input, keep it as HOME to avoid any secondary modes. If you have it on START, and plug it in, are the LEDs on the PS360+ cycling? It’s in bootloader mode if they are.
Also, you have a problem. The right angle header should have been put on the crossbone, not the PS360+. I’m betting your case top won’t close correctly, will it? Luckily the keying is correct and it appears that VCC/GND and all the other I/O are correct, but I would recommend going through between the screw terminals on the PS360+ and the crossbone’s 3.5mm positions with a multimeter set to continuity mode (with the stick unplugged of course) and verify all signals are correct between the two boards, power and ground included.
Don’t use A unless you have the invert solder jumper done, otherwise people will be forcing the board into playstation mode when it’s not supposed to be. I recommend HOME because it avoids any forced modes and it’s easy to hold when plugging in, almost easier than the A button.
How is everything wired up, ultimately? Two cords as in main USB is done via the TE2 cable, and legacy done with RJ45 cable? Or are you just leaving the main USB alone and using that soleley for XB1?
yea led cycles on the ps360+
I have the te2 connector wired to usb out on the crossbone. Rj45 cable going to a Neutrik adapter. I use the main usb for xbox one only and rj45 for everything else.
Also for use of rj45 only, can I just ditch the usb connector and add two wires on the alternative rj45 pins for 5 and 6 then wire those to usb out while keeping the whole rj45 cable I have already in its spot?
