What do you mean by “has stopped working completely” ?
Buttons are not working ?
LEDs are not working ?
Do you have a Multi meter?
No not yet, I mean when I plug it in there is no response any more at all, the only button that works is the switch from PS3 to PS4. But that’s it
It stay 3 weeks ago just stopped working miss play or right when the match would start. Then twice in a match. Now not at all. I’m going to get the mod and fight board so I can actually play and win. Playing with a ps4 controller is like brushing my teeth with my left hand
Multimeter used to measure voltage, amperage, test continuity (does electricity goes though) and test diodes.
I recommend people with stick issues get a cheap multimeter and do a continuity test on their USB cables, make sure that all 4 wires in that cable is unbroken and conducts electricity.
If one of those 4 wires are broken the whole stick will not work.
Sometimes you can diagnosis the issue further, as if your getting power than the +5 volts supply and ground is working but not one of the two Data lines.
Thanks. I will definitely do that before I do anything. But I’m going to very is not the cable considering it got progressively worse. The power on the stick comes on, but nothing works anymore. I will get one this weekend. I will keep the status of the problem updated. Hopefully I can help someone else who runs into this. Again, thanks for the help.
You said no response but do the LEDs light up at least ?
If so, tell us if the stick is in “Lock” mode ?
Which is the reason why you cannot log on to the PS4.
The leds come on. As I said before the problem started happening about a month ago. All of a sudden the buttons wouldn’t work. Except for the ps3/ps4 button. So I would either unplug the USB or I would switch from ps4 to ps3 and then back to Ps4. Then I would hit the PS button and confirm. Then it started happening more often. Now no button works. It is not in lock mode.
The leds work and the PS3/PS4 button works. But no other button.
It is not in lock mode, nor do I think it it is a problem with the USB. If it was the USB, the problem would been the same the whole time. Being as though it got progressively worse since it started, i don’t see how it could be be the USB since the leds still work.
It still might be a faulty USB cable.
If you are still getting the LEDs to light up, it means inside of it the VCC (red) wire, GND and Shield wires (both black) are OK.
Your problem lies with either the Data - or Data + wire (white and green).
Try to change the cable or borrow one from a friend who also has a TE2/TE2+ and see if it fixes your problem.
10-4 I’ll comment the results. Thanks
I finally modded my te2+ with the EZ Mod. Works well but noticing I’m having response issues when it comes to the joystick or hitting buttons. During match play it isn’t registering my inputs all the time. I might have to hit the button twice to get it to work. Does anyone have any knowledge on why it’s doing this and how to fix the problem?
