My Madcatz Tournament Edition Fightstick squeaks whenever I input the left direction. I opened that thing up and lubed the microswitch and stick, but still makes this squeaking noise. The noise comes up when the stick is going back to neutral from left. I know its not the clicking noise, I also own an hrap 2 which also has a JLF and that one doesn’t make any squeaking noise. Anyone have any input on what the problem may be?
I dont own a te, but I thought they didnt come with sanwa parts
if you have been using it alot the grease could have worn out or it could have came with a very small amount in the stick
wtf?
Well I just got it maybe a week ago with very little play. I lubed it up really well with actually opening up the microswitch and lubing the plastic peg.
Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition is all Sanwa.
Do you guys really use those japanese lubes/grease that cost $80? Damn, those japanese people are really hardcore.
thats the stuff that comes on your stick. its the best thing for this job.
This stuff is cheap and works pretty well. Why would you even buy the lube when it’s more than the stick itself though?
its for people who run arcades or who have a shitload of sticks. i wont ever buy it :wgrin:
I usually just jerk a load right into my stick it works wonders…
but really that lube they use for little boxcars wheels does a pretty good job
If I bought one of those Shin-Etsu Silicone Grease tubes, I would share with you guys.
Expensive, so I want to share with others.

why dont just use WD40? Its the best one
I read somewhere on these forums that you can just use chapstick.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Hey, my TE makes the same sound too. And on the left side also. Weird. Doesn’t bother me much though.
mine sqeaked a bit when i go down direction.
but after applying some lub… some cheapy 10 dollar one. it still squeaked… dunno how to open up the actual micro switch buttons… there are no screws on it ???
but i dont know how … after rotating the clear plastic thing that holds the joystick together… it suddenly no longer squeaks…
Bummer…put some lube on it.
I use Petroleum Jelly… IE Vasinline. 2$ a pot and http://www.gomestic.com/Homemaking/22-Wonderful-Uses-For-Petroleum-Jelly.37106
WD-40 is…not…a…lube…
It’s a friggin degreaser piece of shit. It’s also silicon free which is the main ingredient needed for these parts.

Read all those uses. If a product can do all of that do you really want to be using it to “lube” your stick? Read the first comment too.
