Hey I got a te-s from my friend and I wanted to remove the art from it to put some new art on it eventually. When I went to remove the screws one of them would only come out so far, turns out the screw was stripped and when I tried to remove it the metal panel got bent as you can see in the picture. Is there any way I can replace this and ad art to this?
Anyways. There’s nowhere near as much selection now for replacement panels as there used to be. @“Jasen Hicks” does metal replacement panels, but not sure if he makes them for the the original TE casing.
Alternatively, you can always get a top-panel plexi replacement, and a plexi to sandwich any artwork as well, from Art at Tek-Innovations.
I’d just hammer that bend out, and Bondo and sand to further flatten it. Considering you fudged it to the point of bending it like that by trying to remove a stripped screw idk if you’re ready?!?!
Oven, torch or something to heat up and make the metal more pliable.
Be careful and don’t go nuts on the torch, you don’t want to anneal the metal (soften it permanently)
