Yeah, it would be an ultimate travesty. I mean, even X-Men has Apocalypse since he’s the X-men villain, but Yami without Ammy…?
I think its cool that there is a Okami character in it. Think about it though there is alot of room for secret characters.

got a couple matches in today, hate the controls. sf4 hi def cabs got me spoiled. whats with the slow recovery on normals? still love the game though, cant wait for it to drop on the wii so i can try some stuff out. so far chun li is “godly” only because her chain combos are easy and people arent getting the chance to try new characters. i did notice something weird though playing against someone who was using batsu/ryu. i was sure i killed ryu but batsu did a super and in the cut animation ryu shows up looking white like a ghost and did some cool spirit bomb looking super with batsu. another thing, saw chun get jabbed out of her fireball super. overall cool game but will take a while to get used to. i still dont fully understand how assist works and not feeling how its easy to get confused with tagging out and doing assist. chip damage is also pretty annoying. overall fun game though but will take a while to get used to.
EDIT: THAT MOVE WITH BATSU WAS JUST HIS LEVEL 3.

I can confirm about Yami’s forms though.
1st form - sphere form (In Okami, this is the beginning of unpowered Ammy vs. Yami)
2nd form - sphere form with appendages (this is midway of unpowered Ammy vs. Yami)
3rd form - Hand form (this is essentially Shiranui (or full powered Ammy) vs. Yami)
If Amaterasu isn’t AT LEAST in the sequel I’m going to bomb Capcom’s offices. I need my Spinning Pile Driver counter-super!

So far, each “final boss” of versus Capcom games has the “slayer” of the final boss to be playable.
I mean, XvSF/MvSF has the X-men (who well, defeats Apocalypse), and MvC has the Marvel gang who defeats Onslaught. MvC2 has Rubyheart, who is supposedly the one who quests on defeating Abyss.
Your right. There is a good chance Amaterasu is in the game. Or Waka with Ammy as his companion.
