No they’re not playable in EVO, but in the loketests since the ones featuring Doronjo and Karas show that they are playable.
They can jump, air-dash, hyper armor, and block. They can also push-block, Baroque, and Mega Crash. I am not sure if they can super jump but I think they can (especially since these two are flying mechas). However they are not immune from Level 3.
Also, they can hit each other ignoring their armor.
Their EMS shipping works out a fair bit cheaper than Play-Asia (at least in 's) - and they always ship my cd orders 3-4 days before the Japanese release date.
Only problem is customs, but I’ve selected the “gift” option, so hopefully it’ll slip through the net.
It may be awhile, but I do want to get into this game, luckily I have a wii sitting around that has old firmware anyway so I’m confident that I could get the homebrew stuff going. It’s good to hear that the PS2-GCN converter isn’t bad, if anyone else gets one can you guys post up what you’re using and how well they work for you?
Alright, well I went all out and pre-orderd the game, and got myself the more expensive exar stick. One Hundred and freaking sixty six dollars for it all. :amazed:
Anyways, I was thinking… What if TvC requries and update, but then after you update the homebrew channel goes away. I mean thats got to be a possiblity right. What the heck would I do then?
I had the PS2 to GC converter for many years now and since I heard of this great title I might actually break it out and use it when I get my copy of the game. I feel it is great that a title of this magnitude is coming out for the Wii and I will be be able to use my PS2 controllers for the game too. The converter was given to me for free at the time because the person was moving and didn’t play his GC much at that time lucky me hey.
On a random note - people associate VJ to Clover when in fact VJ is a pure Capcom idea, not a Clover one. Sure, 2 and the succeeding games were made by Clover, but the first game was made by Studio 4, which also made games like RE4, DMC, and RE:UC.
well i probably missed this somewhere but is there still twelve normals per character? ive seen the new button layout but i havent seen vids of both crouching punches and kicks. so is it there and im just missing it or did they cut that out
They don’t necessarily cut out stuff. I think the problem is that people are more used in the six/four button set-up on five characters in the game (Ryu, Chun-Li, Batsu, Alex, and Morrigan).
Most of the older moves have been given a new directional input, while others were removed entirely (Ryu’s hopkick, Chun’s forward+medium kick, etc.).
The game will definitely have a learning curve of a few matches no matter how experienced you are with the series due to the new button layout and combo system. After that, it feels natural.
