That, but moreso from 2d animation to 3d animation on a 2d plane. Easy to mess that up ,and make it look bad.
8ing developed the whole game, while Capcom supervised them. Sorry to sound like a jerk! 
Just curious, but what did you mean by supervise exactly? If they told 8ing what was wrong with there game and what stuff they needed to fix then there acting like directors which is a pretty huge part in making a video game.
If they just published the game.i.e did the advertising and provided the PR, then they really did nothing =P
BUT as far as the animation goes you are correct, it sounds like it was all done by 8ing, with probly input and resources provided by the capcom staff.
They’re coasters. Drinks coasters. And it sounds like there aren’t going to be many available, unless you preorder at e-capcom.
