has anyone played the jap version. as good as Street Fighter or Marvel Vs Capcom?
I think so, the game is fun, it plays closer to MvC1 and Rival Schools than it does to MvC2 though.
Find some videos on Youtube and see if you like the flow of the game.
It might be hard to relate to the Tatsunoko characters; personally I only knew of Ken/Jun (because of Battle of the Planets), Casshern, and Karas. But the developers did a such good job of transitioning the characters to video game form that you’ll end up liking them, even if you’ve never heard of the character before.
sick i just bought 2 sticks and i have sanwa parts so im ready
It’s awesome.
I remember when it was first released. I jumped in head first without really knowing how to play imports, spent $80+ for fast shipping and I do not regret it. Also partially because of the seemingly small chance for a U.S. release at the time.
The diversity of Capcom characters alone made me want to play, especially the ones from non-fighting games.
Thank the guys at Capcom to improving and expanding their game and I hope, at least, to see a sequel.
I didn’t know a whole lot about Tatsunoko myself when I first saw early videos of the game, but I was immediately hooked when I saw how stylish Polymar, so I made him my character of choice. You might even do some research into learning about the Tatsunoko animes (I’ve seen all of Casshern Sins [a reboot of the older Casshern animes] and both Karas DVDs).
Once I got a hang of the game, I really appreciated the character diversity… There are NO clones or multiple shoto characters in this game. Personally, I especially like the Tatsunoko cast much more than the Capcom cast simply because of each character’s unique style.
Do you own a Wii?
Do you like 2D fighters?
If you answered yes to both of these question then TVC just might be the game for you!
There are quite a few characters, especially from the Capcom side to fight with. Look it up on wikipedia and see if any of your favorite characters are there.
That’s a seller for quite a few people, so I encourage it.
I think it will catch on fast!. I read and see quite a bit of Hype. I know many didn’t eve know about Tatsunoko in the U.S., but I believe it will be a Win Win for the Wii.
