Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in Norcal

Anyone up for some TvC around here? I already have the Wii, game and Hori Wii Fighting stick (sorry, no fancy stick mods or anything) ready, so all I need is competition. Someone else would have to provide either a PS2-GC adapter or another stick, but everything else is set. I even have a DVD recorder to record matches with, if need be.

Anyway, if anyone’s interested, let me know in this thread.

soon as i have my stick/converter for the wii, we’ll get down for some compitition, pm me

i have a ps2 to GC adapter are u sure it will work?

i been waiting on this day bro.
where do i go?!??!!?!!!1

Yo, I’ll play… once I get a driver’s license.

BRING THIS SHIT TO REGIONALS!!!

you guys aint down

What brand is it? Try looking in the Tech Talk section, as there’s a converter thread in there. Most if not all sticks will work, but some converters give nasty lag unless a controller with official PCB’s is used. This means that only a few converters are viable for fighting games, unfortunately.

In terms of where to go, SVGL on Wednesdays would be fine, as I’ve hooked up a TV in the back room several times in the past. I’ll try and buy a portable DVD player for this after Christmas, unless someone else has one they’d be willing to provide.

@Mizuki - I thought you drove already? Oh well, I can’t drive either, so I know how you feel.

@lovepig - Where exactly are the regionals this year? I very rarely keep tabs on these things since I’ve grown tired of Marvel and whatnot, but if it’s within my travel distance, I suppose I could bring TvC.

i ordered the game and the wiiloader but what converter do i need for this? i have a ps2 arcade stick.

its in los angeles cali

You liar, you said joo wasn’t gonna play dis sheeit

not from norcal but I support the game

These are the converters of choice:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-10y-49-en-70-2pz1.html
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-g4-49-en-70-14p.html

You can find the second one on amazon every now and again for about the same price after you include shipping, plus it’ll only take about a week to get to your place unlike Play-Asia who take 5-15 days to ship them and then another 5-10 to show up at your place.

You could always get either of the exar sticks (defualt and tvc special edition) or the wii fighting stick, but they are way more expensive than a 20 dollar adapter and all three of the mentioned sticks suck ass.

As for the game it’s self, there are 5 ways of playing it, 3 of which I can’t speak of.
But the two I can speak of are:

You can buy the game from various sites like play-asia and ncsx (who both ship within 24 hours but ncsx has cheaper shipping rates)
Or
You can buy TvC and a Japanese Wii.

Hope this helps, PM me if you have any questions and we can talk on messenger or something.

Thanks and enjoy TvC!

I don’t have much of a problem with the Hori Wii stick, but it can’t be denied that it’s still double the price of buying an adapter and using a stick that you already have. I still think they’re decent alternatives for those that can’t order things online for whatever reason. I’ll try and buy an adapter soon if enough people actually want to meet up and play, since I’m fine with the Hori Wii stick for now, since I’m just playing by myself at the moment.

it takes ten minutes to mod a wii and burn the game. and it’s free.

lyle make me a copy plz and ill pick it up at alberts:lovin:plz its xmas

not your wii :looney:

Ordered the Joybox from “DDR Freak” over on Amazon Marketplace. It was $7 more compared to Play-Asia, but I got the converter in 2-3 days.

and voids warranty.

I’m in SJ and down for some games. Got the game and the tvc stick.

so does time.

I am going to try and get this going this Wednesday at SVGL if I can, but I’d still need someone to secure a small TV or portable DVD player to play it on. I can buy one of my own if need be, but it’d need to wait until after Christmas.
