Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the US

Makes sense. Probably going to end up buying a Wii for my parents with Wii Fit and get TvC on the side. Still doesn’t solve my stick problem, though. :shake:

Actually there are indeed some PS3/360 games that aren’t 720p native. I hear that some games on either system even drop resolution at certain points in the game. I heard someting about PS3 SFIV dropping resolution during Ultras, but I can’t confirm the truth of that.

PS2-GC port converters. You can find a few of 'em on Play-asia for pretty cheap. Cube JoyBox Pro is what I use.

TvC was built on Wii hardware, so anything outside of that system is at risk of not being a perfect port.

for those of you looking for wii sticks try eBay. I got horii sticks for $30 shipped. I can’t wait for this game to come out. I was planning on modding my wii but I thought it was too riscky, good think I waited. Patience is a virtue  S-kill and Capcom came through! Hopefully they got all the characters licensed.

Just letting you guys know that it was kinda officially confirmed by Capcom’s twitter that this was one of their mystery games that was going to be revealed at E3.

Yeah, theres a post on destructoid.com about it. We just have to wait and see when the official release date is now.

Problem is, my current is stick is wired with a PSX output. From what I know, PS2-GC converters don’t take kindly to that and well…don’t work.

If it’s a Wii-clusive again, I won’t buy it. I already own it and it gives me no incentive to buy it again outside of “supporting capcom” which I am all for but I’d also like to support capcom while enjoying the game I bought in support of them.

However, no matter what platform it is released on I’m really glad to see Capcom went that extra mile for this game.

They work just fine. My HRAP2 works with the PS1 and it works fine with the adapter I bought.

its official… http://www.capcom-unity.com/kramez/blog/2009/05/18/capcom_e3_mystery_game_1_revealed_in_july_nintendo_power

Is your HRAP2 designed for PS2? If so, then of course it works. My stick was designed for PS1.

Jiri sticks?

I’m excited for it, though yeah… how the hell to control it is another question. I’ve not played it at all so I have no idea how the scheme works.

That can be easily solved with some of these PSX/PS2 to GCN adapters, that’s what I use and they work just fine with my 3rd party Dualshock2 PCB arcade sticks I have.

They show all of the Tatsunoko characters in the image that I thought would be problematic due to licensing stuff. Gatchaman because of the upcoming Hollywood CGI movie, Yatterman because of the current live action movie (was screened here, some US company probably has the rights) and Casshern because of the new anime, Casshern Sins (which an American company may have acquired). So at the very least, it looks like we’ll get everybody. I’d be hella surprise if a US company was being territorial about Karas, fat Genie LOL or anyone else.

Even so we do know that Capcom had to go through 13 companies for all this rights stuff according to S-Kill, hope everything worked out in the end.

Although putting TvC on the PS3 and Xbox would be awesome, It would completely cannibalize SF4’s momentum. That is as if they released Resident Evil 5 and in a few months, release RE6 for the same system. Since most games have a high shelf life, releasing a fighting game on the same system as another fighting game ?*both of which was developed by the same company ? would oversaturate that market and spoil the amount of sales it could have received.

Holy crap, that almost sounds as exclusives were a good thing sometimes. o_o I just blew my own mind, haha~

There are 3 attack buttons (LMH) and one partner button. The attacks are different depending on the direction of the joystick when attacking. So for example with Ryu, if you hit attack, you punch, but if you hold down while hitting attack, you will kick. QCF and the like will do his hadoken and other common moves. It varies from fighter to fighter.

Don’t care, everyone will still be playing SFIV anyway.

I’ll be playing both.

One of which you will be playing alone.
