Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for the US

Wow, small world. Didn’t know you had an SRK account, dude. (This is Nael M. from Cap-Unity, btw)

But yeah, this and what Sairou said are the reasons TvC isn’t likely going to be on the HD twins. It’s expensive, there’s no guarantees it would be arcade perfect and Capcom clearly has little confidence that the game would sell enough to justify the costs of another port.

I’d been lurking for a some months and decided to get an account when SFIV came out and ended up lurking some more.

I’ve been active lately simply since I’ve been watching out for more info to put in the FAQ at Unity.

Back on topic, the whole port issue should have been settled long ago. Both Capcom as well as the wiser heads in the community have given a valid reason for why it’s not coming to PS3/X360.

People always get butt hurt when a game is exclusive to a console they don’t own or like. I’m just glad this game is coming stateside to begin with.

Agreed on that man. I can’t wait to try out the US version of the game.

Yeah, I remember when it was a question whether the game would even come to America, I’m still glad for that. I even have a Wii, the only issue for me is adapting my stick for compatibility. Just still kinda sucks that Capcom can’t readily adapt the game for all three consoles, since that would still make a lotta sense.

And come to think of it, in one regard compared to any other Capcom fighter TvC has the most simplified control scheme ever, so if there was any title made as ‘Wii ready’ as possible, it’s this one.

This game is awesome! Now we need Monster Hunter 3, and I’m ready to roll every day on my Wii

If you have a PS1/PS2 stick then a cheap $7 PS2 > GC adapter is all you’d need.

Pocket Fighter.

SF1 with the rubber punch buttons?

can I have the link to see where can I buy one? :cybot:

Here. It’s only 8 dollars, and it’s supposed to be quite good.

I only have my handmade PS3 Cthulhu stick… as far as I know I’ll need to purchase Toodles’ $12 adapter kit.

Hm… I stand corrected then. I’ve never played that one.

I don’t understand why people take such offense with the simplified controls. Most moves in Marvel and whatnot just become filler for your magic strings anyways since you always just try to start your combos from a few key moves. So why do you really need more buttons when you can achieve the same effect with less, i.e. start from jab, hit a few other things, combo, etc.

although it is simpler, super gem fighter mini mix (basically same game) is also only 3 buttons, but grabbing is more complex then sum other games, at least with morrigan, and u gotta half circle forward or half circle back plus punch+kick. still, doesn’t rly make much of a difference. especially considering that just about every combo is just variations of 2 buttons; ppkk, pkkk, pkpk, ect.

Don’t forget about pkkp, that one is my favorite.

Pocket Fighter is still awesome though.

That game has a hard S.O.B. IA… or I just suck badly at that one… :annoy:

I loved Pocket Fighter.

It was the only place where you could have Ibuki face off against characters like Sakura, Dan and Morrigan.

I don’t think it’s that at all. If this was MvC3, it would be the Dreamcast all over again. Where people would purchase a Wii just for the game. However, there are alot of people who aren’t found of the games mechanics, like the 3 button attacks, only one assist type, and near everything is punishable via pushblock, so on.

Another thing, Tatsunoko is not as popular as Marvel.
