an EVA … or if not, then I GUESS either Shinji Ikari or Asuka Langley Soryu, and just grant them the skills to fight.
…I dunno what else otherwise.
For the record when Asuka is introduced in the manga it’s made pretty clear she’s capable of taking care of herself outside of her Eva.

Either way, seeing an NGE character at this point would, I’m sure, pretty much be impossible. We have a better chance of seeing Jesus Christ from The Super Book making an appearance. 
Sagat? How come? We kinda already have Ryu as the shoto and representative of Street Fighter 1 while Chun Li is representative of Street Fighter 2. If someone’s going to represent Street Fighter 4, it probably will be a new character like Viper or Abel. Sagat’s not really that interesting either.
sigh… eva doesnt belong to tatsunoko, its more probable that we would see the yatterman 2, muteking, and maybe speed racer cuz he is so damn popular (dunno why) in usa, for the capcom side, i dont know, they would probably toss a obscure char plus an ichonic one, im not seeing dante in cuz from what i know ono is giving more priority to his characters
Yeah well like I posted before, the series that have been tossed around in press releases for capcom have been Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Godhand, and Okami, so those are the most likely capcom series to see in there. Tatsunoko on the other hand, does not own evangelion so that wouldn’t make sense, speed racer on the other hand is really the most logical choice. For the other two idk.
I remember a list on a french ass site that said the characters the producer or creator of TvC would liked to have had on TvC, perhaps the 5 characters will be comprised of characters from that list unless, licensing is a problem.

For capcom Id like Akuma, Dante, Vergil, Nero, Zero(X version),Leon k. or Chris R, J.Tailbain, or how bout a powerstone character.
If I see any of those added on i’ll just lose it.
Its clear Devil may cry characters are the higest demand so if we dont see none then capcom is just plain ignoring us. I hope they hear us.
I dont know the tatsunoko roster like that but speed racer would be sick, and it would sell more copies to the public.
I don’t know how Ibuki would fit in a game like this but she would be a really cool addition if they pull it off.
For all those saying Zero, please remember the SVC shenanigans. That said, heres hoping for the X version if they do put him in. If Zero is in, my team is Vollnut/Zero however bad that might be.

For real though, TvC is a fun game. I enjoy it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than MvC2.

Hmm…with only five characters (I think) being announced, that makes it hard to decide who I’d like to see. If I had to choose, I’d probably put in:

Yah, monster hunter 3 looks sick. However, I can’t justify buying a console for any of those games. Also, yah, I prefer TvC over MvC2 as well, but I heard it’s even more horribly balanced than Mvc2 is. Plus, I doubt anyone is even going to play this game compared to SFIV…so I don’t wanna buy something that suffers from doujin fighter syndrome.
Actually it’s not nearly as bad as MvC2 imo. Karas is tough but he’s not undefeatable. I mean he DOES have the lowest health in the game, so he pretty much suffers Akuma syndrome.
