im pretty sure they are going to keep the numbers even, so dropping 1 tatsunoko character and adding 3, then adding 2 capcom characters. But I could be wrong
Hate to rain on your parade, but Dante might not happen. There was an interview with the producer of DMC4 where he stated he didn’t want Dante to appear in any other non-DMC games:
Just a thought, I got a look at the inside of the Wii Hori Stick, and the stock joystick looks identical to the one that I pulled out of my Mayflash a couple months ago. I don’t know if the quality is the same, but the Mayflash stock stick was just terrible. I have it in my desk and took it out just to get a feel of it again…god it sucks.
I’m just hoping the Wii Stick doesn’t use this garbage.
It is pretty bad, but I posted a link for a mod explaining how to fit a JLF in it just by dremeling two holes in the JLF. You can also use Setmitsu or Sanwa screw in or snap in buttons.
Unless it was made to use waggle, and couldn’t possibly work without waggle, it could be sent to the other 2 consoles. There would be nothing preventing the conversion.
That may be true, and in fact you have a point, but there’s a few things to keep in mind. One, the interview was done almost a year and a half ago (and personally, I looked at the response to the question as his point perhaps a bit more focused on non-DMC charaters not showing up in DMC4, and not on Dante’s probability in other Capcom games). A lot can change in a person’s opinion about a subject. He might still feel that way about Dante’s DMC exclusiveness, or he might go on ahead and say “What the heck?” and lend him to TvC. Also, considering how the fighting game scene in 2009 has basically removed “impossible” from its own personal dictionary, I wouldn’t put it against this move, especially if it’s money Capcom’s seeking with this game. Dante would be the killer app to push sales big time. I’m pretty sure the company knows about the demand for him in a vs. fighter, and this would be perfect for him (or Nero, IMO. I personally really like Nero’s design and fighting style, and he would fit in just as well.)
The Wii stick is great if you like the stick to be really loose and easy to move. If you’re more into sticks that quickly snap back to neutral, I’d go with something else or do some modding.
I use the Wii stick and have plenty of success with it, actually.
