nothing concrete yet, but there’s like a 90% chance that Daimou got the cut.
as for new characters, we don’t know yet.
oh, and for all the people who are like “I’m getting a wii and arcade stick right now!!” my advice is, don’t. Wait until the game gets a bit of play first, then decide if it’s worth it or not. That way you won’t regret your purchase after finding out that the new game is possibly more flawed or broken than the japanese version. Hurr.
Yeah, fishy mention of Godhand there. I never considered Godhand to be that great and it’s certainly not overly well known, so why would they mention it?
I like the fact that they’re considering this the definitive version of the game though, and the way he said ‘new features’ makes me think they might even add additional gameplay mechanics, though I doubt it.
assuming you haven’t played it, basically godhand was a 3d scrolling brawler with a somewhat deep combo system, advanced techniques such as sidestep cancelling and juggles. not only that, you could customise gene’s entire moveset with moves you unlocked during the game. it had a wackee sense of humour unusual for the genre, and it was also really hard.
I’d have no complaints if Gene made it in after seeing him in action. He has the suitably cheezy one-liners and the moves. My only gripe is that he just doesn’t look very memorable or interesting as a character. And cult fandom or not, he’s still just a bit obscure.
So, for everyone preparing for this game, I can confirm that that mod works on the wii hori stick, and wii hori sticks are still available for quite cheap.
I know it would be kind of Silly, but how Rad would it be if you could be unit-01 from Evangelion? That would be insane… I’d even be happy if you could fight in tokyo-2 as a background or something…
Glad I bought that Wii Fight Stick for GG, I can know use it for TVC
It will never go multi platform because it was designed for the wii hardware specificly also they have confirmed at eventhumbs that it won’t go multi plat. Also they confirmed that Hakushon Daimao is out of the game at E3
