I much would rather see the bad ass Dante in a vs. game. If not here then maybe MvC3 (still hopes for that). I think Demitri would be Capcom’s choice for the next one as well.
Capcom won’t put demitri in VS games because it means making extra sprites/models for all the other characters in the game when they turn into women.
True, but they did it with CFJ and that game was extremely mediocre and copy-and-paste anyway. Or they could go Anakaris route like in MvC2 where he transforms everyone into a voodoo doll type thing.
i think the only character between xvsf and mvsf that had completely new art was that norimaro guy, whereas adding new characters in tvc would require brand new art from the ground up
art and animation takes a looooooooong time. even if they’re 3d models
I figured it out. Just have everybody on the cast turn into morrigan when they get hit with the midnight bliss. And if it’s morrigan, have her turn into roll.

Dante would make for a more interesting character. He could have Devil arm and maybe even style modes. Whereas as Nero would make for a more linear character. Uh…just like in DMC4, actually.
I mean, that, and using Nero would be like if Nintendo use Raiden instead of Snake in Smash.
Nothing agianst Raiden, but that shit is like having Lilith but no Morrigan. Luigi but no mario. Dante or no DMC characters at all.
I love the character choices on the Capcom side (sans Roll), but I was really wondering why they didn’t include Dante/Nero. I think that the DMC series would translate EXTREMELY well into a fighter, and everyone wants to see it happen. I hope TvC 2 actually does get released, so I finally play with a DMC character in a fighting game <3

But they do not OWN the license. They just animated it.
Maybe they couldn’t come up with a good rival on the Tatsunoko side for Nero.
I could totally see many of the characters listed there making an appearance in the sequel. Some could provide rivals to the characters that currently lack them.
Yatterman-2 to counter Roll. Rouge for Hakushon.
Jin or Shoma could be a good rival for Ippatsuman. Strider would be PERFECT to take on Casshern (they both have a robot pet, they both cover the bottom half of their face, they both kick the crap out of giant robots). If Strider is unavailable, then maybe Nathan Spencer.
Joe the Condor can rival Charlie, because of the whole “Street Fighter vs. Gatchaman” thing. For the same reason, Berg Katse would rival M. Bison.
I have a feeling Arthur has a good shot based off of Soki’s ending. He’d probably be an unlockable character.
He has only been mentioned and made a cameo or two, though. Certainly not enough to model a fighter out of.
Besides, they use original Casshern in the current TvC, and I doubt that they are going to redraw him.
They already have a basis for Buraiking Boss - his Tatsunoko Fight moveset. He’s pretty much a grappler with two sorts of command grabs (a ranged, easy to land grab and a short ranged but powerful grab) and a “mouth laser”.

Bullshit,TvC was announced Spring of 08 and finished Dec 08. In 9 months they made 22 characters,new system,music,and stages. So yeah Capcom just needs another 9 months for TvC2! :rock:
