hey can anyone tell me a hit confirmto do off his mighty swing when appraoching? thanks
Haven’t really seen anyone do this yet.
airthrow :qcf::h:(3) st. :f::h: into w/e. dumb meter gain is dumb
You’re having trouble confirming an approaching Mighty Swing? Really? 'cause it gives you tons of time to confirm it before the move ends.
i was just wondering, what would be a good block string to practice? mighty swing is unsafe so not sure what to do if opponents have good offense. i use dorm, and wesk so im guessing i use there assist to keep the pressure? but is there anything task can do on his own?
Ive been working on a Storm/Taskmaster combo that uses the DHC glitch.
I found a video on youtube from Humbag, that showed me how to link normal attacks after Storms Elemental Rage, and I simplified that combo to make it practical in matches and even online.
The main trick to getting a good DHC Glitch combo between Storm and Task is to catch your opp with Elemental Rage while they are still airborn.
He is the combo that im using:
(Storm/Taskmaster) cr:m::h: jc:uf: [:df::atk::s:] land cr:h: jc:uf: j:h: xx adf xx j:h: land :h: xx Elemental Rage, DHC Aegis Counter, cr:l:cr:m::h: :f::h: j:m:j:m: :f:h: j:m:j:m:j:s: land :h: (slight pause) :s: ^ j:m:j:m:j:h:j:s: land j:uf: :qcf::h:(charge) xx [:qcf::h:]
Damage: ~1,130k with j:qcf::h:(charge); ~1,065k if you have to end with just j:qcf::l::h:
Meter: Storm builds 0.75bars so the combo can be started with just 1.25bars; Taskmaster builds ~1.33 bars after the DHC so you will always have meter to do your final Hyper.
This could be a double post, but I didnt see it in the op. Its just such great damage and meter usage without being very difficult, so I thaught I should post it.
Tip for those who are pad players like myself: Type-A has the R2 button on PS3, and I think Right trigger on the Xbox set to do LMH all at once, for Legion arrows that require :d::df::f:+:l::h: you can hold during the flying screen, and when you land you can just do, Jump qcf+ r2/rt and you’ll get the angled Legion Arrow.
Why does my shield miss in the corner of that Bnb variation?
Here’s a combo off an air throw. Builds 2 meters.

Has to be at about the height of your jump
air throw, :qcf::h:, cr:l:, cr:m:, s:h:, f+:h:, j:m:, j:m:, j:s:, b+:h:, s:s:, j:m:, j:m:, j:h:, f+:h:, j:m:, j:h:, j:s:, j:qcf: :h:, b+:h:, s:s:, j:s:, j:qcf: :h:, j:qcf: :l: :h:, TK :qcf: :h:

some of my task shenanigans
that air throw combo was legit
hey guys, just a quick question, is this combo:

character specific? i cant get it to work on some characters…also is this better than the double arrow lift ?? or should i just stick to that one
The only character with high health that this works on is Tron, who requires you to be DIRECTLY in the corner against her when starting it else the arrows will whiff; this is generally impractical. Against the other characters it works on, you don’t need it. So, this combo isn’t worthwhile.
Although I don’t think double arrow lifts are worthwhile either, given they take a one-frame timing and I generally can kill people without them.
so, what would be like the best combo to go with taskmaster? midscreen and corner
(I use Mag/dante/task btw)

Comboing off a front throw with an assist (in this case Spencer slant shot)
You are seeing the point where that stops comboing between the :h: and :f::h:, right?
For the most part no one is trying to link two supers with taskmaster but me, but the problem is that you could do the same or more damage with his basic bnb’s or by dhcing. So, I hit the lab and came up with a way to link 2 supers via the doom missiles assist, also it actually does good damage, plus like all taskmaster combos builds a good amount of meter, and most importantly it looks cool.

Can you do that super jump forward flying relaunch on most characters with any consistency in a real match? .-.
I’m starting to get more comfortable doing it, but bigger chars are more difficult to do it, and my execution is ass so its variable.
My personal tests say that it’s simply too variant of a combo, particularly by spacing and character specific details that can’t be streamlined in a real scenario. I wouldn’t recommend it, anyway. Tried for hours to find some trick to it, I think it can’t be done.
If your talking about the linking two supers after that combo, yes its ridiculously hard to get diagional super to connect. But if your talking about the combo leading up to it, it’s honestly not that hard once you get the timing down. I just watched trag’s double relaunch video to get the timing of it.
I just mean the mid screen super jump forward jS H arrows relaunch. It’s too erratic (via spacing, or character specific aspects that can’t be changed on the fly) for real matches, unless I’m missing something.
