Sounds great Isaac, I think Tampa needs some more exposure to these fighting game tourneys, hopefully we can do like a weekly $5 tourney some place, cant wait for the next one. I actually live in Brandon, I might have a get togethor on Fri or Sat 27 (this weekend) its possible, gonna play it by ear, but I invited most of the guys I met at the play n trade tourney. Just wanted to stop in and get some feedback.
Orlando recently had a SF4 tournament as part of a big Halo/Gears company that runs tournaments every other month. It was a great setup, they had over 100 Tv’s(We had 4Tv’s and 14 Entrants for SF4 only since they didn’t advertise it til the week of). They plan on having something again end of May, and after talking with the head honcho, he gave me the go ahead to put together something BIG for it with SF4(they also had Smash and Melee but I’d leave that to them) if I choose to do so. I’ll know this week which date, but just wanted to see if you guys would make the trip out to Orlando for it. (it’s 2 months before Evo too and would be a good motivator/practice tournament). I also plan on personally going to EVO/Vegas since I’ve never been and I’ll kill 2 bird with one stone)
I’d definitely put together some great things for it, and we can expect to have over 12 Tv’s At least Already set up(They have all Xbox 360’s so that’s covered, But I also plan on Getting PS3’s with SF4 just to cater to both(Although Once Blazblue and KOF 12 come out, I can see PS3, being the better choice for running tournaments)., I see tournaments only having one or the other but I’m in the think tank seeing how I can coordinate a smooth running tournament on both systems.
I would also want to run HD remix, But it seems since SF4, there’s barely any interest so maybe a regional Team Tournament for it.
If any of you were around 4+ years ago, Then you might of shown up to one of my UCF tournaments that always had amazing turnouts, So I want to make a go at it again for old time’s sake.
So I’m just asking, is this something you guys would be willing to travel to the best spot to stay in Orlando for another big tournament, Could even be something I could turn into something bigger and even work with My Good friend CalmWarrior.

Google, OF COURSE! Orlando is 90mins away. I’ll show up. Running a tournament on two different platforms is a bad idea unless you have dedicated sticks for each console. Pick one and run with it is the best option.

I$AAC, me and my bro should be up for Wednesday nights if you don’t live too far away. Only on some weeks though, as I’m on a rotating on-call schedule at work. Love the bar idea as it will have that Tampa Lanes feel (hey, did anybody ask them yet?)
Brandon Folk, we’re up for Saturdays or Sundays but it’s the same deal as above; I might have to miss some if it’s an on-call week and they need me ready. That last Tuesday was an exception, as I had to use paid time off.
UberBob, I found the square gate to bring ya this weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to show off a new stick too (First LL took my money and now Akihabara did…at the end of Feb…still no new parts in the mail from either but here’s hoping for later today :sad:).
