Well, I would say that the game closes the gap between top players and the rest of the crowd. However, the top players that you usually see in other games are still on top in this game. MvC3 is quite new and the gap is already starting to widen though. The great players of fighting games will be able to adapt and discover the best strats, regardless of the fighting game.
Basically, it is the way you say it is right now, but top players are still winning and I believe the game will be less “scrubby” as time goes on and players adapt.
Also, new events out today. Titles earned are “Unleash the Beast” for the 1v1 Arcade event and “Go Easy On Me” for the 2v2 event.
He has some of the most odd properties in the game…

Multi-player based games have been the trend for a while now, if its in the style of gears of war or even war for cybertron it should be a lot of fun.
