sounds like your system overheated… fan is the easy fix, but if it’s not that then it’s most likely a Mother board issue.

Generally it is a heating issue, the soldering begins to get soft from the heat of normal use, and eventually connections get iffy… SUPPOSEDLY. I just hope this works as a temporary fix to get my PS1 and PS2 data backed up. I don’t care if I have to play some of my PS3 games over again, but losing my Final Fantasy 7 & 8 data, my MGS1 - MGS3 data, and all my other stuff is going to be annoying.
