Here’s the issue:
5 years ago my grandma bought me the condo im living in so i could go to school.
We paid 89k for it or so. Its currently worth about 75k or so, so it deflated in value 14k or so.
Reality of things is, my grandma is at the end of her life and wants to get that money back. She told me straight up, i want you to sell the condo. So i’m like, okay i can do that but you know we’re going to take a huge loss, she’s like okay as long as its not too bad, i just want some of that money back.
So i thought to myself, maybe i can just get a loan, buy it off her for 70k, which would make her happy. Why let someone else get it on the cheap? The only downside i see is that i’d be stuck with a 30 year mortgage. If i can rent it out, just to cover the mortgage payments, then i’d be a happy camper.
I can sit on it for a few years until the market gets better then my 70k investment would have been worth so much more at no cost because i’d have someone renting my place.
Does that make sense?
well a 30 year term for 70k with a good interest rate is no more than 400/month…maybe alot cheaper than that…do what will benefit you financially…when it comes to money its all business.

well, let me ask you this, right now how many other payments do you have? calculate everything and consider all the possibilities and fees that you need to pay and see if it’s going to work for you or not.
It’s a renters market, Look into getting a line of credit for 70k your payments won’t be more than a few hundred a month, rent the place out you will be able to chip down on it every month while still pulling a profit won’t be much probably no more that 400 but it’s still more than you had.
