Tampa Bay Area Thread: SRK Illuminati out to get us

With all the ae Honda buffs now everyone wants to play the sumo man. Hes blown up in popularity. sarcasm off

you beat me once with honda mabye twice at most lol and it was sad actually I thought I was gonna get hit by a hands combo and I just kept waiting… its was more like one punch resets I died because I was laughing…

Why you gotta talk about my hands and take it there?wtf I thought we were friends

I still love you bro no homo lol

sure, whatever, now tell me why trials are bad

Everything is handed to you kids these days Stash.

no facebook, no car, no money…

youre literally mad about capcom trying to make fighting games more accessible, lmao

and it would be “Stache,” brah

Sup dudes I’m back finally

The trial mode looks godlike, the Evo Moment 37 with Justin and Daigo is one of the trials lolololol
It’s actually a pretty in depth trial mode…

It’s “You’re” and “Capcom” broseph

Thank you, dude.

Games used to be better back in the day before ‘more accessible’ existed. More accessible just should have been ‘hey lets include online play’ but nooooooooooo… now we have Yun and Yang.

are you implying there werent good characters in fighters before

I really don’t think you understand the concept of ‘more accessible’ at all.

BshidoHEAT is right…< goes back to playing Garou, SS2, and CVS2>

Every game in the history of the world sucks.

edit: sorry, except stick-can. Never gets old hitting a can with a stick.

Could one of you please explain to me how having trials and things to teach new players how to play the game is a negative? I’m actually curious how you came up with that idea

Actually I do, and that’s why AE is currently one of the worst games ever, along with CapCom3. Yet I still play them because I like the competition, and I’ve made a lot of friends in this scene. That previous post of mine was half way sarcastic, everyone here knows that I joke around alot but I’m dead serious when I say AE is one of the shittiest games. (As a matter of fact, I being a diehard Marvel 2 player, spent all day playing CapCom 3 if that tells you anything)

George, there were good characters before no doubt, but there is a difference between broken ass characters and good characters. Akuma great character in AE, one of the best, broken as fuck? No. Was he really nerfed from Super to AE? Not that I know, and no one I know that hasn’t played him before is moving to him because he’s so good now. And now Yun (and Yang) were created to be broken as hell intentionally (I keep hearing it’s to bring in more of a beginner crowd), while at the same time people wanted nerfs to good characters just because they couldn’t deal with the shit. Now we deal with Yun/Yang bullshit, or you know just counterpick with Gief or Fei, whatever.

I could write a paper on this shit if I wanted, but bottom line is that ‘more accessable’ should have been done with more attention to detail.

No one said anything about not having new players, it’s how they did it.

same reason why I hate dj’s that don’t use vinyl… anything other than old school is easy. take SS2 for example… if you’re good at that game it’s because of passion… no trials, no training mode in the home version… you’re good at the game because you went to the arcade and played people and found shit out on your own instead of having every combo and all the frame data spelled out for you and the whole world.
