I’ve played him for about 20 minutes in practice mode, and about 2 hours in match mode! Soon that will change! pLUS I don’t believe you’ve played mine yet!
t’s not hard to buktooth loop 2ABC lvl 3, buktooth loop sphere flame xfc sphere flame or do a lot of hot resets with him (most are just drop your combo, activate flight and forward + C). Dude does a lot of damage and for some reason is only getting buffs lol.

Basically, Scorpion with Meter puts him at advantage, but building meter with Scorpion is the challenge.

Im not even surprised, man. If I could find this ish in day 25 minutes, anyone else could. I was watching some tournament footage and Im really surprised he doesn’t use the unblockable more at the range he was at. Considering on hit, it neutralizes capture effects of projectiles, in some matches at certain ranges, there’s almost no risk. That’s what I was really talking about with Sub-Zero. On paper, Scorp has every option at his disposal to beat every option Sub-Zero has, meter equipped or not. Sub-Zero has absolutely no way in without a huge risk, has no really effective ways to bait any of Scorpion’s zoning options, and has very little mix up if he gets in. Scorpion, on the other hand, clearly has ways to bait all of Sub’s options, and can traverse across the screen if Sub Zero isn’t walking every step of the way, which… gets means free unblockables! Scorps dmg output and mixup potential with vortex are higher, and his combos can be engineered for either vortex or making Sub go through the exact same process again. EX spear negates EX ice, and Sub cant clone to keep advancing forward with impunity because the unblockable punishes it and dispels the clone. I’m all for being wrong and all, but I see absolutely no reason that this is not AT least a 6-4 for Scorp if played not in the normal MK standard of rush down go go go.
The match up is even. Sub zero actually builds meter much better than scorp in the match. And with meter sub zero can actually hit like a truck. With a guaranteed reset and 1 bar sub zero can easily do 65 percent of someones life bar from anywhere on screen. Which is more than scorp can do with just one bar. However scorp can do 40 percent consistently without any meter at all.
In the match up its better for scorp to take the damage since his vortex is extremely risky. If someone guesses right on either the high or low they get full combos’. Also the unblockable is punishable and sub wins if it trade with ice or ex ice ball. Also if sub corners anyone but raiden and kitana its hell getting out.
Now the match up swings from being slightly disadvantageous for scorp without meter to slightly favoring him once he has meter to burn. Once he has meter sub ice game is just not as good against him. Nearly any special sub does can be punished for huge damage by ex spear or ex teleport. However sub can still control space better than scorp with his d4 which is one of the best d4’s in the game. its fast and has a dumb hitbox.
Scorp doesnt have a lot if any 6-4 match ups in his favor simply because of the risk he has to take during a match, and his lack of really good guardstrings and safe pokes to build meter or keep pressure. He’s probably the most balanced character in the game. If you guess wrong against him he looks like a monster but if you guess right he easily gets blown up. Which is how it should be.
Oh and scorp loses to rain and freddy is even with scarlet and beats kenshi
