I had my doubts but man battle fantasia IS a really tight game i must confess. Jay you should get on this bro.
My 2 hour marco was lookin a little hot had some frame traps and 214 feint mixups down. lLast hour i even had my tight charizard mixups and half screen crossups going. Hit confirms with that character are easy peasy and easy ass half screen poke damage off of 6C, 214 FP for knockdown. and other ish. Im getting this game today sometime. so i get on some good pmode.

Matt: Thanks for the heads up on Evan’s stick. I pm’d him about it, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to snatch that up. My one concern is that I hope I can hop back and forth between my Madcatz TE and that Hori no problem, or that getting used to the Hori won’t screw up my ability to play with my TE lol. But I also picked up Tekken 6 yesterday just to goof around with even though I can’t put SF IV down. But let me know when you guys are going to meet up and play, or if anyone is down for some SF IV.
Just an idea, if anyone plays Third Strike, we could play that on PC with ps3 or 360 sticks as I have an Emu for it that runs buttery smooth.
its just a regular match diago has a very good ryu but in 4 he is not nearly as strong as he was in 3rd. He has holes in his game, and a lot of top players not named justin have explosed those holes.
That being said it was not a great match. It fact its wasnt the best I’ve seen this year from either player. Arturo’s trip to japan had a lot of much better matches against elite players ranked higher than diago in sf4. He had an incredible set with a really good akuma and another one with the best fuerte in japan that was epic.
Diago also had great matches with rf and the best sim , fuerte, and abel in japan.
But diago’s nuts been hangin since he parried a chun super. So any american that makes him look mortal everyone just jumps all over that shit. I mean he did win the tournement that same weekend. Like in the mid west tournament that just passed a few player were able to beat him in casual even if it was just once and people were all over it when at the end of the day he still won the tourney.
Okay I’m going to resist arguing with Jay here, please remind me to do that the next time we’re in the same room.
But when watching the video I did notice this - dude presses a lot of buttons. Like every time he does a fireball he hits 2 more buttons during the animation. Same with other various moves. Kinda strange.

Man Im still loving this BF. My 2 chars are Marco and Cedric. Loving both and i have mad setups for Charizard and for Cedrics feint/lp Heat sonic booms.
well since Im the asshole here. I mean really if you have someone watch the match and you didnt tell them that it was auturo vs daigo no one would cum their pants.
But if you want a break down it was a typical high level sim vs ryu type match. Almost a throw back to super turbo type game play. Daigo was throwing out the fireball from a distance that would allow him to punish most typical sim fireball counters with a focus or dp the same as you would for a jump in at that distance. So basically he was trying to bait him into becoming agressive or throwing out a random lim so he could punish. You can see the few times auturo actucally force daigo to show his gameplan earlier than he want to by just avoiding the fireball instead of avoiding and trying to punish. daigo would focus too early so auturo would just turtle up and remain patience. The sim just attack when ever he caught daigo out of space and maintained his position when he couldnt force daigo out of place.
Other than that auturo just used his lims to control space rather than attack. Keeping daigo’s ryu where he wanted him at on the screen. Once auturo was able to establish his zone in either round daigo would have had to be more risky than he wanted to be to break it. And if you allow a great sims to set up shop on you its hard to get around. Iyo won a national title that way. No one really tried to rush down so there wasnt many mix ups or oki set ups out of the norm. Its was just a classic zone battle “diago” got out zoned.
Match was good. I’ll join that discussion when jay and ron are in the same room about diago lol. diago hit some ume shoryu into super. diago hit some option select jump in roundhouse to fireball, and diago hit some nice lvl 3 focuses from half screen. All right I’m running out of things to say off of the top of my head about diago cept he was tight in 3rd strike as well. (I also put his name in lower case just for Logan :devil:).
On a more serious note battle fantasia is a super tight game, the new setup is gay, and when the heck are we gonna get some new info on SSF4. I need them to tell me that my Makoto is in the game already.
