PSU was…a catastrophe. Remember the empty promises and outright lies Sega made about its content prior to its release? What happened to the vehicles they promised us? See the screens from PSOII that show players standing on top of vehicles? pretty hilarous. But Sega has gotten a clue about it. Its really really obvious when you play Phantasty Star Portable II . Like they have the red drop boxes again and even new kinds of boxes and you get rares the old school way from them - no gay ass crafting and mat boards and all that bs. PSO II should be fantastic judging from the direction they went with the portable versions of PSU.
@People discussing Magna Carta: I enjoyed the 1st console game, it has some major flaws but it also had some really good ideas. Same can be said for MGC2. I actually own 2 copies of the original first game for the PC - not Tears of Blood/Crimson Stigmata, but Phantom of Avalanche. Not sure if you’ve ever heard of it but its pretty dated now lol. HTK also did a series of PC games called War of Genesis III…now those are the best.
@Matt: I didn’t know about the tournament patch issue…I hope there’s a remedy then, even if I don’t really attend large scale events like that (though I plan to go to the local tournament at GS) it would be a blow to the competitive scene for it if a solution isn’t found. I suppose I just assumed that they would only need to make sure that every system playing the game was patched up to date…hrmmm.
EDIT: I read up on this glitch more…lol its complete garbage. It’s not even remotely game breaking. You would have to be a dumbass to take another swing after being countered instead of using a throw or low. In fact if you move after setting it up it undoes the state anyways.
Unfortunately all the attacks, guard and all the binds must be mapped, and you can’t double up assignments. Technically you can press 1+3 to throw, 2+4 to tag and 3+4 to switch stance, and I’d like to just use those and get rid of the binds. If I could, I would play:

So I have committed to team Dive Kick, with Ryu as a secondary for Wolverine depending on if the match up requires zone or rush down. Like I was telling Mike J, I’m really looking to level up now that I’ve found who I’ve wanted to flow with and gotten a basic understanding of this engine so starting now, just like I did with SF, ill be going all over the city to play 1v1s with anyone who’s available.
