I gotta put on my flamesuit when I talk about COD: Black Ops with some friends. I think it’s damn fun; I like twitchy, fastpaced shooters (gotta put the sensitivity at 8+ for COD, definitely gotta play a running class) but I still liked Halo: Reach. But I definitely prefer Black Ops. I thought Reach’s armor lock was a little OP, not like there isn’t broken shit in COD but somehow I’m willing to overlook that because the game is so damn fun. Yet I’ve got Halo fanboy friends and jaded COD-is-the-new-Madden buddies who won’t give the game a try. Don’t blame the latter though, COD is the new Madden :rolleyes:

armor lock was good in team games with teams that are actually coordinated but for the average joe that just throws it up randomly just sit back and time a plasma grenade stick or fall back and get your own shields up. Dont forget it has like a emp effect so dont get up point blank waiting for him to get out of it if hes alone. It will blast off your shields and he can just melee you for a free kill.
I played the shit out of Call of Duty 4/MW/MW2, so now that i just beat halo single to finish the story and played a slightly above average multiplayer now its on to BO all my flist is on it and its damn fun. Of course ill have the ration my time, though, because Competitive Starcraft is owning my soul. Holding 211+ apm currently for a 15 minute game. You should try it out sometime Jarv.
cod bo campaign is ass too but hey its suppose to be.
Right now out of all the call of duties im a bit upset because the sniper rifle is ass. Its all about assault rifles in that one everything else is just not as good.
The more I play Makoto, the more I realize that the tier list is pretty fucked. She’s not worst in the game, she’s not even low tier. Low mid, maybe? She’s only getting better, too. I’m calling this now: SSF4AE Makoto is going to be upper-mid/top tier, and we’ll start seeing her in tournaments a lot more.
i said that after i really started seeing flash show whats possible with her. She is probably low mid at best or upper low tier at worst. I think hakan and dan are worst characters and even then i think you can still win with them. This game is really balanced for such a large roster. her s.mp is just too good. and tk axe kick is golden. Hope you really start to figure her out I believe option select has a really good tutorial for her with some match up info. I would like to play your makoto sometime.
Haha I never even touched the campaign in Modern Warfare 2. I was too busy killin’ dudes online! How they gonna make a super addictive online multiplayer and then expect me to play a terrible campaign?

Ryu is coming along. Aside from consistent U1 execution, he’s finally up to a level of competency I feel I can take him to competitions with. Gonna test him out in Gainesville next week and then playing him exclusively with my sessions.
