I can confirm, sort of. I thought I noticed a small hiccup once or twice. It’s not game breaking (see: Bayonetta on PS3), but it is a small annoyance.
Not nearly as much as in SFIV.

I say thats a good team since you dont have alot of time to put into the game. Arthur esp day 1-2 stuff with him is actually pretty good. Matt- For $11 I’m sure you can’t go wrong with the guide. It got pretty hyped up so I ordered one so I can get into this game hardcore. I figure it’ll have a good starting ground for basics, but I can’t imagine that it will be that useful for high level play (cept the frame data).
well i have never really been one for strat guides. I dont need them for the basics. Just the frame data. and this one had some pretty extensive Frame data. I just dont know how useful it is in a game like Marvel. thats why i want to wait till some Marvel veterans respond then ill think about getting it.

to matt frame data is always important in marvel frame data is used to know how viable initial attacks are at the start of the round and more importantly recovery frames. So that you know what you can punish and what to punish it with. Whether you have a poke you can punish stuff with or something more.
any guide that has the complete frame data of thee game is worth the price of admission especially during the release of the game. The problem with guides before was that they rarely ever had the most important elements which is the frame data and advanced system mechanics. But i think with so many online sites giving quality information strat guides are getting more developers to give them information to include in the books before people can figure it out on there own to more more books.
Xfactor is Possibly the most retarded comeback mechanic in any game. It needs to change for this game to be taken seriously I think. Sentinel with lvl 3 xfactor kills any character in like half a combo 100% to dead. But it’s not just sentinel, any character can pretty much 100% any other character with 1 meter plus lvl 3 xfactor easily. It makes every single character like mvc2 cable with full meter (easy, free kills off one hit).
And honestly I wouldn’t even care all that much if it only lasted the duration of the combo you activated it during, or maybe the next attack if you do it out of blockstun. But no, it lasts like thirty freaking seconds. Are you kidding me? “just wait it out” would be a good solution if it didn’t last like infinity seconds and you can cheap people to death cuz the bonus increases chip DMg as well ( oh and you don’t take chip during it)

Lol, good luck with that, remember this game was made for the casual scrub. The new generation of gamers all grew up with no failure, everyone gets a trophy, and a chance to xfactor dat ass for getting a beat down.
If we are already talking about broken and the game has yet to be released, this gives me serious doubts.
Dont get me wrong, I love the game so far from what I’ve played ( vs Ron only). Just a little worried about the tourney scene for the game with x factor in it’s current state. Its not even officially out yet so I’m sure there are thing people might figure out or something. And I’m definitely loving the game and gonna play the heck out of it ( wow account = cancelled)

Yeah, Xfactor is very broken. I had xfactory on hulk and killed a full bar ryu with a simple lp>mp>sp>gamma charge[horizontal]>gamma charge[vertical]. Didn’t even have to get the last few hits on the 2nd charge. Its really gonna make or break this game.
Yep it sure is. And they haven’t even scratched the surface of it’s defensive capabilities.
Like I said, Dark Phoenix is the shit. Like, god tier. From the way the game looks, you’re gonna have to waste xfactor just to beat her.
This game is going to be broken b/c it’s Marvel. The question is, can we tolerate how broken it is? How long will we tolerate it?

honestly xfactor is a really unbalanced baroke if i spelled that right a 130percent speed boost with a 300 percent damage boost for 20 in game seconds is really stupid. But to make it worst it cancels from any action attacking or blocking. Regens red life and nearly stop chip damage.
Even with all of that i think the real problem is the duration of it. It just last entirely way too long. Especially given the speed increase some characters get there is no possible way to wait it out or continously guess right for 20 in game seconds. But right now in its current state it just as tournament worthy as t6 with its bullshit rage its the wave of the future. I suck therefore i win. you know it was amazing how you blew up my whole team when we both had to think and use skill but fuck that shit now that i hit the iwin button. That shit is better than the one from staples.
But with justin making such bold statements and people are already complaining in the forums from dealing with it online all weekend. It will be a patch within a month it has to be.

X-factor is a lil silly. Makes the game way more broke than fate now, but isnt half the fun of marvel is the fact that it is broke? Ill keep playing and enjoying the game. It maybe silly but lets all at least try to give this game a chance and not just dismiss it. It will take time for this game to flourish and for more viable options in situations inside and outside of x-factor to be laid out.
My teams stays. Wesker(low-assist), Chun(anti-air kick BEAST), Super-Skrull(still deciding between direct punch and flame assists) i love all three of these characters.
Wesker is just good, zoning damage teleport etc etc
Chun she is just damn good at rush down, and does great damage.
Skrull love how he plays. Love the air down punch and command throw options.
Capt America does SOO much damage for magic series, special, super. 70%??! really
Sentinal is reaaaaly fuckin good. esp his assists.
Akuma is a very very fun character in this game i love how his dive kick works and his still has crossup tatsu but it actually combos further into bnbs. I LOVE the fact that he has his Tk tatsu shit and the hit box on tatsu period is DUMB you cant hit him even when your on top of his ass if you space it properly, but then again i havent tried it vs the rest of the cast.
X-23 seems decent but a little too gimmicky, maybe someone can show me some proper play with that ho but i can get out of alot of throw setups for free.

Yeah, nobody is going to stop playing or anything, but we’re all going to recognize that Lvl3 X-Factor is just dumb as fuck. It’s just a really lazy way to implement a fake sense of balance. “Oh, EVERYONE can do it only once per match!” Great, then EVERYONE is just going to hold the shit until they have one character left, then get boosted to speeds they can’t even control, and it’s just a rushdown/chipfest until the round is over.
I’d be cool if they dropped the duration down to…what, ten seconds? That might even be pushing it. Maybe seven. Twenty, as it is, is plenty of time to kill off two characters, then force the third one coming in to guess and probably kill them too.

Its a great game, but the simple mode is to easy to use. My gf doesn’t even play fighting games and was able to look like a pro - a few moves. Capcom should look into making simple mode just a tad bit harder. As far as the online is concerned I had zero lag which is a plus. By the way I agree with you guys about X-Factor, man that shit can really make or break the game. Lastly, to answer your question about the slowdown, yes it happens on the 360 too even if you install it. So in the good words of R.A.W. its time to “Cut the damn game off, man.” and go to bed.
P.S. Sent is too damn strong, Deadpool is good for a laugh, Akuma is fun and doesn’t feel as much of a clone as he use to in the V.S. games. I hope this helps.
