Seems like Final Round is gonna be pretty packed this year. Got this post saying that the hotel that its being held at is selling out of rooms pretty fast. I dont know how true that is or if its just a ploy to get more rooms to sell, but i just wanted to throw up the notice.
If anyone here is going to final round can we go ahead and get some plans going for reserving the room(s)?
Tightest things about Akuma that I’ve seen.
*The beam super is fast…like the fastest in the game.
*The demon flip can cross behind cornered opponents, something most cant do.
*The Uppercut Super should never, ever, ever be used. Ever. There are better, safer options.
*You need a tight vertical assist to maximize use of the flip. Sent Drones, Unibeam, Daggers, etc. The Chun kicks might work too. These kinds of assist will also make things like calling an assist then teleporting behind for a crossup easy.
*Ragin Demon if done quickly enough will beat most supers in the game on reaction.
*When/If I play him I’ll be using the Tatsu assist. Its nice for rush down.
*The two different fireball supers are nice cause you can cancel moves into the scattered fireball super to push back, making shit safe or if you are trying to chip or combo then stay on them the beam is your choice.
*Comboing the dive kick>relaunch is the tightest but requires a bit of timing.
*f+H is really silly and warrants further inspection, especially in the corner. I can explain why in person my fingers hurt :).

Mag/IM/Sent in the classic order. Disruptor, Unibeam, Drones. I know repulser blast is nice but there is less need for an anti air in this game and the unibeam helps rushdown a ton.

Haha @ you guys doing combos. Haggar? Jump in pipe, BC xx launch grab, BC xx air spin grab, OTG DP+AB. Hell, instead of the launch grab I could just do my QCF hyper and launch after that. Best grappler in the whole VS series, hands down.
I think he’s getting a perma spot for sure next to Spencer. Just need a third.

I’m gonna back out from MvC3 hype today, I have to catch up on job shit, but I’ll definitely be down tomorrow. I haven’t really worked on phoenix yet b/c she’s harder to use than I thought, but I have some ok viper stuff down.

I do hope you’re hiding something fun and not something simple like snapping her in and chipping before she hits the ground (no x-factor) or command grabs while she’s coming in (which are avoidable except for X-23’s, afaik)!!!
My weekend starts tonight so I’d really like to get out and play. I’ll try to show up at SLC if I can get a ride home from someone afterward.
