Thrust Kick + wave dash is harder than it should be. Due to the raised difficulty of pulling it off, many people won’t realize its possible. I’m still working on pulling it off myself -_-; I only managed to get the wave dash part down but I still fail at connecting with the followup attack.
umm yea I know im the guy that posted that you could do it when the game came out. I do it all the time when ive had the chance to play the game in real life. There not unrealistic. Im merely commenting because the video in the post above mine says that its impossible still. Sigh…
Still it a very good addition to ryu’s damage potential but its just so hard and character specific that no one will go the extra mile.

show me the video of the combos I did and where and I can try to help I guess… In general though if its a tiger knee its a tiger knee. not much else to it… Certain combos I did wave dash cancel tiger knee though which makes you recover faster shrug…

I like how some guy in the background yells "ryu is low tier what? " around 3:50. I think he is, but he has his place in a well balanced team, like Chris G’s. he makes for a decent anchor when he’s full of meter.

I understand your confusion, because they have the same title, but they are not the same match; the one I posted is the grand finals. its almost a 20 minute long set.the other one is about 7-8 minutes long. check out the vid I posted, you’ll see what I mean.

I was in utter awe when I first saw that match, genma. Chris and Justin were both amazing; only one of them went on to fight Tokido, but if you ask me they both won that.

Holy shit! That was some awesome Ryu Ray Ray! It was hilarious seeing Marlin Pie blow his XF to kill you Ryu. 
Also mad props on playing better in the GF than the earlier matches lol. Question: How come you always do the shinku hadoukent down after tatsu instead of doing it forward? Don’t you get a S followup in the corner when you do that?
Good job Ray Ray! I really like your aggressive Ryu, and the Assist setup helps a lot to cover Ryu as he moves in.
These matches should be great material for improving Ryu play!
To get the s after the shinku you have to position them right above the shiku so they get hit slightly after the startup. It was on ps3 and crt so i wasnt trying to risk anything by trying timing heavey stuff. by the end of the night i got used it so i was able to play alot better
Ah, I see. Yeah, in the earlier video’s I was surprised to see you dropping stuff you nailed in the GF (I watched them in reverse order). I really like how you did drones on shinki hadouken OTG to get some more hits. I wonder if iron man’s unibeam can work? You’ve given me some great idea’s.
