It kinda is unfortunately. Not just the timing, but the spacing as well. Some character’s you kinda gotta be around their knees when you start the TK other characters you gotta be a little closer to the feet.
Plus it’s easier to do vs some then others.
Mad easy to do vs Blanka, but WAY harder to do vs Guile.
Death by nines I dunno how you did this to Gief and Abel. Are you sure you tk crossed them up?
mmm, el doesn’t autoblock only block the second hit but will allow you do the first hit? but i haven’t spend much time in training room so i could be wrong and also what if you successfully do a tiger knee cross up and instead of doing just tiger uppercut what if you do the ex version since it juggles then fadc, f+hk, ultra?
Double post but it’s my thread so I don’t give a damn.
Did more testing on Cammy.
You are correct.
She CAN be cross-up up but the timing is wierd as hell, and you have to catch her during the 2 frames that she is standing after her wake-up.
Anyway, guys make sure when you test it you use the record feature and record yourselves crouching blocking then haven the CPU play it back. Alot of the time if you just set the CPU to auto-block it seems like you can’t cross-up with TK when you really can.
I haven’t tried testing the cross up TK in training mode yet but I was wondering, do you just sweep them so they wake up into the crouch block via the record feature? I’ll try to test this on some more characters soon, been a bit busy with work/school.
can somebody explain to me what’s so good about cross up? just adding confusion to a match? because i would assume that they are blocking most attacks anyways given that they are coming out of a knock down?
You cant counter a properly timed crossup after a knockdown in anyway whatsoever besides blocking.
This leads to safe block strings, tick throws, hit confirming, pushback combos. It basically allows you to get in and apply pressure without any risk. Plus it confuses the opponent in direction of blocking.
And dont assume that the opponent will always be blocking after a knockdown. TU FADC.
Sagat’s crossup sucks ass btw. you need it to hit at the very latest for c.lk to connect. If your gonna use it then followup with c.lp xx TU FADC.
the test was made vs the standard grounded position (head away from the opponent, like after a sweep or most juggles). the getup from the other position has different properties.
