Taking apart SFAC select button?

Hey guys,

I’ve tried ridiculously hard to get the 24mm select button off of my SFAC stick so i can take the old crappy stick base out and put in an iL stick. It seems like the nut holding it in is stripped or something as it just won’t move.At this point, I don’t care if I break the button to get it out as I don’t really need a select button anyways. Is there a way I can take it apart so that it pops out without having to remove the nut. Again, I don’t mind if I break it, I just want the damn thing out so I can lift up the plexi and artwork. Thanks.

Is there glue on it? Some of the SFAC sticks I’ve encountered had the nuts glued down for whatever reason. If you’ve already tried needle nose pliers and don’t care if you break it I’d reach for a dremel and cut it.

After reading your suggestion, I figured I would just force it out. A little pushing with a screwdriver and it’s finally out! It’s in 19 different pieces but it’s worth it lol. Quick question, I believe this has been covered in the SFAC thread but I couldn’t find it. Is it the Seimetsu 24mm screw ins that fit that hole without having to do any weird mods? Thanks.

You have to get snap-ins. The screw-ins aren’t long enough.

Perfect, thanks a lot Kyle.
