Take less damage while in Danger?

Pretty much the title. I’m not sure if it was already answered but I couldn’t seem to find anything on it. I noticed attacks were doing less damage when your opponent is in danger. So basically, do you take less damage when your character is in danger?

Yep. I don’t know where it was posted anymore, but you do more damage and take less when you’re at low health. Also, you take more and do less damage when you’re at full health.

That explains so much about a few of my combos. Thank you very much. =)

This is the effect of an inherent modifier typicalled called “Guts”.

Notice its effect in sf4, and other games as well.

And due to this, my calculations on the total amount of HP characters have is probably a little off, but still should be very close.
