No, Tekken is as strong as ever, if not stronger. I simply blame the shit website called tekkencanada.com . I registered an account there using my MAIN E-Mail address, and never received a confirmation e-mail. When I tried to sign in to the site with my new account, I got rejected. Beyond ghetto! Now what do I do? I can’t use my main e mail for a second accound cause those noobs will call the damn cops, and I am too lazy to try again (and worried).
A good tekken buddy of mine, Shifty Nevers, who attended T8 last year, is a frequent poster at tekkencanada.com. He says most tekken playerrs in Canada use that site to organise tourneys, and never TOUCH srk. There, I think, is the main reason for your low pre-registration for t9 from Tekken players. Blame tekkencanada.com!

First thing is first. You spelt; around, players, and organize incorrectly. 
Next if the Tekken community is as strong as you say it is, then why are the pre-registration numbers so low?. Common sense dude, nobody want to play DR since Tekken 6 has been released. Just like 5.0 DR is now dead, the reason the turn out was high last year was because of JaemoonAce. T6 release date is supposedly in November, so I can guaranteed you that T10 will be the biggest ever. SF HD Remix, Soul Calibur 4 and Tekken 6.
Last but not least you should stop blaming TekkenCanada for a low tournament turnout. You even said it yourself, “I’m too lazy to register”. Who’s to blame for that?. Based on your post all you’ve done is contradict everything you’ve said. The only few active members that are left still post there, and are trying to organize this tournament. They’re not doing this for themselves, but for the community. You should be grateful that a Tekken tournament is even being considered. According to you “Tekken is strong as ever”. How about you show me how strong it is?. Just so you know there’s no lag when you’re playing side by side against a live person. So if you think you can win by just randomly throwing people online reality is going pimp slap you in the face. Canada’s best will be there, so if this goes down how about first to 10 for $50?. I don’t play Tekken much any more so it should be easy money right?.

Forest1: Yeah I can understand the frustration. The way the internet works right now, people usually have a hotmail, gmail, and yahoo mail. For situations like this one. Systems are never perfect i’m afraid, so blaming a web address would not be a valid reason. I’m pretty sure SRK would make the same mistake because it is still a forum. I can delete or activate the account you tried to register, what is the user name? As of right now, Tekken is ON from what I hear. The MTL guys will take care of TTT and T5dr (If TV is available) as they say so you can still participate. I may join as well but my remark stands as to not be the one to organize because of the expected low turnout. IMO since the attendance will be low, it is best handled with somebody who is just starting out in running tournaments. So that there is no pressure. I’ll see you there.
