Dude the stick stealing pisses me off as much as anyone but you do realize that it is MORE likely that an individual showing up with that stick would not be the one who stole it.
Like you said ‘if not already sold’ - well wouldn’t it be sold to someone who shows up to tournies? Very well could be. You state that you are only threatening the person who stole it, which is totally fine, yet you suggest that you will attack anyone you see with it - that doesn’t fit.
Investigation should always precede condemnation. If that doesn’t matter to you, then you’re reacting for the wrong reasons.
Me and many others would be more than willing to keep an eye out for you guys in local tournies since we are from this area. However, it wouldn’t be violent. I also have no idea what the stick is like. Was that even mentioned?
Another problem is, the scheme of Alucard’s stick has the potential to be very common. It’s a SF anniversary stick with black buttons. I believe the stick had been replaced to, which would be the deciding factor to judge if it’s his or not.
A tricky situation, to say the least. If there is someone who frequents these threads, who’s stick fits that scheme (and I guarantee there is), what are they to do? Not bring their stick to a tourney? or risk getting jumped in the middle of the room? They have to make a choice and if they chose to bring THEIR stick to a function that Michigan attends, Then WE have to make a choice on how we proceed. You gotta be careful what message you send out, Omega.
Hey Justin, how come you didn’t even invite the Johnsons this year? We wanted to come but I was too busy at my new job and I didn’t have the time to make it. We will be there next year at TX. I hope we can have alot of fun than before and if we have enough money that time, we will also go to EVO 2009. The Johnson will be everywhere next year. I read the T9 results and It looks like this was a awesome tournament. I hope we can be a part of it next year. We have changed alot (physically and mentally) and we are not the same than we were before. I would like to be part of this next year and I want to play Street Fighter IV, Soul Calibur IV and Tekken 6. I hope these games will be there. Well see you soon and this was a good tournament.
This was my first ever trip into Canada and there were some good sides to it and some very bad sides. Everyone in Canada is very nice and friendly and I had a good time meeting all the GG players and all the random people who are random… Like Ichimaru Gin aka JS Master. But it also … Sucked hardcore every time I stepped foot in that venue.
I’m a fattie so maybe it was good for me to be in that 100+ degree place but seriously, that venue could have been one of the worst venues I’ve ever been in for a tournament, and I’ve traveled pretty much everywhere. It was fun seeing the skill of the Canadian GG players, but there was so much that I wanted to say that I didn’t. It seemed like everyone just felt like sandbagging against me and Peter and it was kind of lame.
Pacific mall was cool, Alex’s hospitality was cool… I expected more from this tournament, everyone hyped it up at C3, everyone told me it was going to be big and good… And I spent around $600 just getting there, and there was 18 people for Guilty Gear. I traded away my 360 to get the money to even go up there… Everyone said all this and that about how the T series was godlike cause of everything + the tournament, but seriously, I really gotta look into shit next time.
It was fun seeing all you guys, and I just hope to god there will be better planning for a venue next time, and like, a few months notice? Like, 4-5months? Not like 1 month?
Could have been better planned. It just seemed like I chose the worst one to go to, just my luck.
