Okay, I don’t understand. You guys all have a habit of misinterpreting my posts.

YES, I did say, HAVE FUN, but I don’t think I ever mentioned we should take away the integrity of the competition. I’m making a simple argument for in-game macros, because I think they’re okay. If you don’t agree, fine, you don’t agree. It’s all good. Video games are made to be fun, and yes, competitive tournaments need to be professional, my argument of have fun, was in no way related to the use of macros. If you guys would actually listen to me before getting all in my case, I just simply stated it would be best for some people who play pad to play the way they are used to. THAT’S ALL. If T8 doesn’t allow it, then fine, I’ll play stick, thank you.

But, why? Am I not allowed to have an opinion that differs from you gods of FG scene? Apparently not.

Look, I don’t care whether its a “competitive tournament” or not, I just want my players and others to have an oppurtunity to have fun. If in-game macros is the way they’re going have the most fun and best oppurtunity competing against the best, then what the fuck, I’m going to fight for it.

its just how you say u know all this about MvC2 and how you’ve seen high lvl play in person, then you go and say dashing isnt THAT important, when if u actually knew something about high level marvel play, you’d know its just as crucial here as in XvSF

I never said anything about MvC2 other than dashing not being as crucial than Xmen vs SF. I know dashing is extremely important in MvC2…and it being less ‘crucial’ than another game does not suggest it isn’t.

I don’t consider pad play to be really competitive cuz the players seem too lazy to take it up a notch and adapt. Theyre not scrubs no, theyre just lazy…hence macros. This whole post u made just proves to me how lazy you guys are.
So you won’t invest money into a proper stick, but youre willing to put all that money into casual games and tournies? Do you like burning your money for no reason?
Btw, why is it too late? I just finished modding a T5 Hori for myself and it didn’t cost much at all. You could also try learning how to fix your stick rather than buying new ones. Don’t blame me cuz you can’t feed yourself information.

Im not exactly burning money for no reason, unless ur saying that because u have a stick u dont pay casuals and tourneys. Even if i had a stick, i’d be doing the same thing, so the cost of the stick is extra.

That was just an example of how our gg community works. If ppl here don’t get what they want, they just “abandon” what they think is the problem and keep on going with their shit.
I say we should discuss why we should/shouldn’t have macros for gg, you just go over my head to sapphire and tell him how shits done.

would u like to discuss now? does this make u happier? coz if it does then by all means do it. theres no more point in arguing about this macro issue because the difference in opinion between people who uses pads and sticks are too large.

I used to run gg tournies but some of you thought it would be better if an asian did it (to attract more players blah blah). So you guys just started running tournies by yourself and even made a little forum for yourself too. That lasted a few months cuz you guys couldn’t get ANY players and you were too fucking lazy to host anymore. Sapphire had to come in and save your asses cuz I sure as hell wouldn’t want to play the fall guy again.

I dont ever recall this happening or i was not into the gg community enough when this happened. I remember u ran one tourney, then i dont even know why u stopped. If the “tournies by yourself” were the ones at K2s place, maybe how u’re looking at those tourneys are different from us. We thought of those tourneys more like of a gathering for ggxx players. this little forum thing (im assuming fightclub) is just a chinese forum for game players, i guess whoever created that forum liked there better (was it tidus? lol) and we just go wherever there IS a forum since none existed on srk for ggxx explicitly. Regardless, im sorry if u feel neglected for ur efforts.

The same situation happened with orbit. You guys are fed up with the cab and release dates so instead of trying to contact management and make any sort dialog, you say fuck you to the one place that had no business getting ANY upgrade for guilty gear (is it was the lowest payout for any fighter) and ran to Loveghetto. I know orbit is tough but we have it much better than most communities in the states. Its not entirely the arcade’s fault our community is dying.

You and i both know orbit management is horrible towards its players, we’re tired of going to orbit to find broken sticks and shit with no technician. im sure you are too. Exactly why we’re ALL abandoning orbit for T8 and making this console no?

Read this whole thread again to find the reasons why macros give advantages. If you still don’t understand, then you really don’t care.
And other than sapphire, ftk and urself, I haven’t heard anyone else talk about it being ok. But I’m pretty sure all the ggxx players will fall in line and bow to the macro god. In any case, it will most likely be allowed, sadly. Sometimes the way things go isn’t always the right solution…shrugs

I can read this whole thread 20 times over again and i wont find a single reason why macros FOR GGXX (lets make it game specific) will give advantage. Nobody discusses about ggxx coz nobodys plays, the peolpe u listed are basically the only people who posts here about ggxx. but whatever, if ur allowing it, then pad players will play on pad, if not, then pad players will play on sticks, no big deal.

Boy, Ive been using pad way longer than you, trust me on this. I used to play many fighting games with it without the use of macros. I don’t like pad, but thats not the reason why I want macros banned. Thats a pretty stupid assumption.

Whatever, i dont wanna argue about this anymore, if you allow macros, then great, more players may join. If you dont allow macros, then the professionalism of this tournament will be held up high. If anybodys gonna call me an “unprofessional/uncompetitive player” coz i dont take this seriously, then yes, i am quite unprofessional coz i just want to have fun and give other (pad) players a chance to play and meet people.

On Sundays at 7 and I believe Thursday at like 8 or 9? The Sunday episode is a repeat of Thursdays I think or the other way around. Tonight’s was an old one anyway, I don’t watch them regularly cause i also forget it’s on, but when I do catch it, it’s always a winner!

he’s saying that there are more tools in MvC2 per character, which makes dash that much more pivotal for lots of characters in XvSF, as they don’t have as many other tools to rely on.

In fact the whole system of assists makes dashing that much MORE important. Because a simple dash in, dash out can result in a dead character if they poorly call an assist. I seriously don’t enjoy seeing this hypocrisy…

Its a console tournament. Thats been said over and over. The macros are gonna be a part of it and thats already been said by the man running T8.

If you guys actually have a serious problem with it where you won’t let me compete because I use a fucking keyboard then you can all suck my dick. If I’m actually the only person that wants to use a keyboard and its gonna make all of u bitch and moan and then say the tourny was a joke cuz of macros then get Nagata to take it out.

as it stands, there are macros because its a CONSOLE TOURNAMENT which allows keyboards, pads AND sticks. If you don’t wanna be a part of it… stay the fuck at home or find another tournament going on that is on arcade only… for all you pros out there.
