I already touched on this before but the qualifier date was re-scheduled for multiple reasons, not just because Gerjay had an MCAT test. The fact he showed up despite having his test was completely unforseen.
The 2pm rule was put in effect because we have a lot of matches to get through (21 matches at a potential 3 matches per set) and there are people that are notoriously late (hell I was even late for my own tournament last month).
I told Gerjay (as director) over MSN that because of his situation, he would have to withdraw because I (as director) couldn’t make a dispensation for him as it’s not fair to the rest of the players. I told him to ask the rest of the players how they felt. If you (as the rest of the qualifiers) feel he should get a shot to play then cast a vote and we’ll be done with it. I’m absolving from voting so there’s an odd number (Wing, Ian, Jason, Tylor, Bryan) that can vote and we’ll have a clear decision.
This is the last I’m going to talk about this subject. If you don’t like my decision, that’s too bad.

instead of running the qualifier with 7 people like it supposed to, u ran a single tournment with 9 people. and u came up with the bs how “people CANT stay for long.”

that would be worse for gerjay to have to concentrate on two games, where as the rest fo us would only have to concentrate on one. I think that would still be unfair for him.
Alex as in Arcade Kid? WTF I can’t say as I saw that coming. Rene I knew was a coin flip at best. Victoire is a bit of a surprise considering I asked Veasna about four days ago if Victoire was coming and he flatly said “of course, why wouldn’t he?” I’m sorry to hear about the drop offs but I’m glad the majority are still attending.

Roger qualifies in the Toronto Alpha 3 tournament and will face Montreal’s qualifier on Friday July 21st.
Roger, Wing and Jamie secure a Team Canada Super Turbo spot.
An open invitation, standard Double Elimination Tournament will be held on Saturday June 24th at Orbit. The winner of the qualifier will go up against a player from Montreal (or Tony’s choice) to decide who gets the final spot.
Fee is $5 per player, winner take all.
