For CvS2, the people chosen to play the qualifier were chosen based on results, the money involved is to take out any of the chosen players who don’t think they have a legitimate shot of winning. That’s about it… I’m looking forward to being on the team this year 
For MvC2. Oh man… I’m happy kinda, but then I’m not. Giving JJTactics a spot on the team when none of Canada outside of probably Tao has seen the man play is NOT a good plan. Making me/g3nn/JS duke it out for the spot when this man is given a spot is BS. I can understand putting Tao on last year, even when nobody knew much about him, people still respected his play. Give g3nn or me a guaranteed spot and make the rest (including Mr. JJ himself) play out for it.
Same deal as last year… I’d rather see us have the BEST team, instead of a team with more… regional diversity. I vote make JJ play for his spot. If he wins, then he deserves it, no question. But I don’t think anything should be given to people who haven’t proven themselves to all of Canada.
JJ was at evo last year and he also came to Toronto a couple years ago and played at Metro.

My choices will be based on the team Empire is bringing. I reserve the right to pick a 3rd person to replace myself and also take someone off the 5 on 5 if I see fit. No challenging for spots, no giving spots away. If someone doesn’t want to play on the 5 on 5, I pick who replaces him.
I don’t care who people want on the 5 on 5. I’m here to pick the best team.
lol i think i was distinctly against giving me an automatic “spot” on the marvel 5 on 5. i wanted to play everyone before the tourney to see if i even deserved a spot. but of course, no one cares about what the out of towner says

i am definitely AGAINST giving g3nn or gerjay or ANYONE for that matter a guaranteed spot in marvel. i know it’s just a formality, but why the hell should someone be given a spot? there should be battles set in place, but people have the option of forfeitting it IE: gerjay will prolly forfeit against jiggabry cuz the general consensus is that jiggabry is better etc. that way, a lot of time is saved, AND it also takes away the bullshit factor…

Everyone is forgetting two very important words: JAP STICKS.
I may be the worst of all the names mentioned, but I would put money on myself ON JAP STICKS against Samnang, JJ and Tao (who I eliminated at T6… so I’m puzzled why he gets an autospot over me).
Anyone who we havent seen perform well ON JAP STICKS, should be required to play for the spot ON JAP STICKS. Because it doesnt matter what godliness they are in reputation or at Evo… if they cant play at Orbit, they aren’t helping Team Canada.

Playing at orbit is such an improvement to what we have in sauga right now. Kinda sad.
I’d also like to see a marvel qualifier held at orbit for out of towners if anything. Problem is, I doubt there’s any more time to run something like that. The schedule is packed enought as it is.

Yea I think you guys should have a Marvel qualifier as well. You don’t need to have bry on it considering everyone here knows hes gonna make top 5 out of everyone trying to qualify. Personally I think Samnang is gonna be on the team 100% as well. I think everyone else should have a round robin that wants to be on the team the day before the tourny. That goes for JS too since he seems to want to be on the team really bad. I say give him and everyone else a shot if they actually have a chance at making it.
