curt man you’re still not answering my question. Do I have to qualify for ST or not? For someone who uses past tournies results as a way of reasoning, this sure doesnt make sense as I have beat Dog berry before in tournies more than he has beat me… Someones mind is as one track as a mono-rail if you ask me

It’s not that I think Im that good, its just stupid that kevin doesn’t have to qualify when I beat his ass before thats all. i have no prob trying to qualify its just that justins reasoning is retarded at times ands thats all I was trying to address. 
I made the decision to place Spence and Kevin as co-captains mainly due to experience (Spence’s goes without saying, he’s placed top 8 at EVO). Kevin is argueably the best local ST player. He knows the game inside and out and has placed very well in every tourney he’s been in save for the METRO tournament (which had busted sticks to boot and fucked over Spence as well).
Roger; your arguement has merit but I didn’t feel it warranted an auto spot. You have 1 win over Kevin in a tournament. You completely left out the METRO tournament he defeated you in as well. Kevin also came 2nd at T6 amid a very difficult field. I feel my choice is sound in this regard and will not be making adjustments.

This is probably my last month of getting involved with tourney SF so figure I’ll go out causing some shit. :wgrin:
I’m going to put a challenge to Kevin or Berkeley Brian(assuming he makes it), race to 5 or 10(their choice) for 20 or 25 bucks in ST. At T7 or the qualifier or whenever.
I don’t agree with him or Berkeley Brian getting an auto-spot on Team Canada when they finished 2nd the last two years whoring CE Guile. If it was an AE or CE 5 on 5, I’d fully agree with them getting auto spots. But its ST. Slightly broken CE Guile isn’t in ST. All due respect to both, you’re probably just as solid at ST, but I still think you should both have to qualify like everyone else. Spence for his ST Dhalsim experience is probably the only one who should get an auto spot IMO.
Kind of a dead point I’m sure since the decision has been made. I can respect Curt for sticking to his decision for letting them have spots, its all good really and I hate getting involved in the politics anyways. Its Curt’s tourney to run and what he says goes and that’s fine. That’s why I’m making this challenge instead. Want to prove I’m as worthy of an auto spot as they are I guess.
My record against Kevin(while he was using CE Guile, CE Sagat, other AE old characters) last year was pretty good in casuals including getting some solid win streaks against him. Even though he knocked me out of T6, I was the one that sent his CE Guile to losers in the first place. Oh wait, that probably doesn’t count, right? :rolleyes: :wonder:
I also managed some wins against Berkeley Brian’s CE Guile at T5 casual even though I was basically relearning ST Chun that whole weekend. My Chun is a bit better than it was back then and would like to prove it.
Feel free to shut me up by kicking my ass. Anything to make ST more interesting for T7 season. Want to at least have some fun this last month. See you at the qualifiers.
If you go by casual then I should get an autospot as I barely ever lost to you, kevin, rey, or whoever was on that cab. i wouldn’t mind taking money matches agaisnt any of you as well (kevin, spence, j. wong. whoever wants some funk). :annoy:
