Nagata Lock II:

OK let’s put this CFJ issue to rest.

First of all, I didn’t want this game on the roster to begin with. There is no viable CFJ scene in the GTA or anywhere in Canada for that matter. It was a game played for maybe 2 months on something above the casual level and fizzled out after the ORBIT 2004 Christmas tournament. The only one that plays it regularly is Kin and apparently Brett. Kin lobbied for the game going so far as to make a trailer for it. So fine, I hand them the 5 on 5 for that game and we basically suck it up knowing we’ll get killed. Then T6 comes and matters get even worse when Kin is the only person to actually enter the singles tournament. Oh yeah, that bears really well for our teams hopes. So Sunday comes around, we’re already extremely far behind and we’ve got a decision to make. Kin came to me on Sunday and asked about the game. We were just about to start CvS2 and still had a legit shot to take this thing without CFJ (we all knew that Canada was winning 3S) so I told Kin we don’t have the time for it. When word got back to TFGM and I was confronted with it (this is already around 9:30 - 10:00pm), I told him that if we have a tie at the end we would concede CFJ. I mean seriously people, look at the circumstances.

We had two 5 on 5’s that people actually cared about and it was almost 10:00pm

It’s all good to say “oh I wanted to play” but the logistics just don’t add up. If TFGM wants to claim victory over a conceded game that we didn’t want to begin with by all means do so but this matter really should be put to bed. We didn’t care about CFJ then, we don’t care about it now and if ORBIT got rid of it tomorrow no one would give a damn.

I tell you what Canada, for now, on behalf of the Empire as a whole I will accept a technical draw on the 5 on 5 until Next year. It is appearing that we are taking anything just to win, and I don’t want that preception on the Empire. The only reason why it happened that way is because I was out of the loop. Next time, when Nagata says “NO” keep it at “NO” and we won’t have something like that happening.

Either way with that out of the way, lets touch a new topic. If you see that there is a problem with the results please post corrections so that I can have them corrected. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the scoring and who won per game, Canada or Empire, but I can see where mistakes can be made on the names. So if you know the correct name please post them. Although most of the names I have gotten straight from Nagata. So I don’t see what the problem is.

well for one, unless im totally wrong here and I didnt notice potatobrain and trevor playing 3s and getting 5th place. I know for a fact that Mtl didnt do that good in 3s.

The mistake for 3S teams results is that the last 3 teams is just copied/pasted from the last 3 teams of the T5 team results for some reason.

I don’t remember the teams though, I looked in the original thread and 4th/5th place wasn’t there and I don’t have the brackets.
