5:30 is before when the team tournament starts…maybe i’m missing something here…

NeoROFL is making arrangements for MMs after the team tournament. I think we can all be happy with that. Kymah will come at around 11:00 pm instead of 5:30. just in time to have the MM, then go hang out for MM Suite, bar, whatever. If Kymah can’t make it at any other time, then that’s a different story.
So anyone still planing on a $50 buy in poker game? I’ll even be up for a $50 heads up match if anyone is down.
I want in on this. I’ve never been to this place tho, is it big enough to have poker in the same room?
Also, would it not be easier to play a cash game (at 50cent/$1) so people can join and leave freely?
I’m down for poker.

Well, it all depends on who’s down. If its only 4-5 of us we can do some ghetto shit and play outside. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how the venue looks like when everyone is there. Friday will be the most ideal night, after the team tourney, I’m sure it won’t be as packed of a house. I’d rather not do cash games, I really don’t want to act like a bank for the night as cash games can get really silly without a dedicated bank. I’d really like for this to be for serious TO poker heads, if you enter you better make sure you’ll be able to finish it as the game can go on for a few hours. The way my friends and I always set it up is this;
5,000 in chips
Whites = 100 start off with ten
Blacks = 1000 start off with two
Reds = 500 start off with four
First blind 20 minutes, 15 minutes afterwards, 10 minute heads up blinds go 100/200, 200/400, 300/600, 400/800, 500/1000, 1000/2000, 2000/4000 and so on.
We’ve found this style to be the fastest/easiest. Games usually go pretty fast, unless a couple of grinders end up heads up. If we do end up doing this at TFNS, would you guys be down for paying $5 to the house since we’d be using some space; figured it’d only be right to give back.
sidenote: I don’t have access to my chips right now, so if someone has a spare case that’d be great. If not I can go pick up some chips.

I wanted to do it at 5:30 because that would of been BEFORE the team tourny, But I suppose I can do it after. So what time should I show up? 11:00? I’ll bring my ssf4 ps3 copy if i have to.

I’ve got no plans to bring Arcana this time since 3 is gonna be out in 4 months. (woot)
I have no idea what’s going to happen with MBAA, but I’m hoping I can mass-casuals in it at some point this weekend (probably Sunday). If someone has plans to run it in a hotel room or something, please let me know. I’ll be bringing a PS2 stick, if that helps.
Besides that, I’m looking forward to SSF4 and some HYPE matches.
Lastly, huge thanks to Spooky for volunteering to travel here (by Greyhound, no less) and run the stream. If we get a chance to play MBAA I’d love to have an MM with you.

Noodle: You are missing something, that’s the schedule of the event. So I don’t know who up and decided at 5:30p start time but nobody cleared that with me.
Guys, i’m not trying to break your balls ok. I do listen and make better of the request but seriously, you guys have to meet me half way. Please understand that my priorities are to run T11 tournaments and not to run Money Matches. You guys want to run money matches, all I ask is to do it after the tourny. If that is still a problem, all you guys who are bitching/making a big deal can either suck it, not come, or just PLAY the damn tournament which is the number 1 reason why your there in the first place. I’ll be more than happy to secure stations for money matches but NOT DURING tournaments. This is what you call meeting me half way.
If any of you whiners want to run the show and run your money matches while the tournament is happening, again feel free to take the job. It pays nothing and you have to deal with whiners and douches who think they are being treated unfairly because they don’t get what they want.
Talking to some of you guys is like talking to kids who whines and bitch when they don’t get what they want. How about growing up just for this weekend, learn to follow the schedule laid out and enjoy the tourny. On that note, i’m a reasonable person so please don’t hesitate to send me a msg directly regarding request or questions. I’ll be more than happy to make you guys happy to an extent.
Paul: Poker sounds cool. I always like watching games. I’ll clear it with TFNS to see if it’s alright to play poker in TFNS tomorrow. If it is, I can probably get space for you guys when the tourny on friday dies down. I don’t know about Sat since everything is running but Friday should be somewhat possible.

as many of u know, i rented a suite out in a nearby hotel for MM’s. So if there are complications running them at tfns, lets take the stress of russell and jsut have them in the suite. 3 or 4 stations on lagless lcds, shouldnt be a problem.

People were probably assuming there’d be hours of casual before the start of the team tourney.
So when can people actually show up and start running casuals.
i have one xbox TE here (the super version, as well as 2 PS3 HRAP VLX’es), which is the stick i use. all brand new in box, under retail prices
if someone is interested let me know here or on irc/pm/whatever, because i am carrying it on greyhound. if noone wants to buy it then i dont wanna carry extra luggage as it would be heavy.
myself, nerdjosh, and spooky all have our tickets purchased. were heading to the rush passport place tomorrow/thursday to get spooky same day passport. hopefully things go smooth. nerdjosh already has his passport

I suggested we do the money match at 5:30 because that would be BEFORE the tournament. I was thinking that while everyone is busy registering, getting food, etc, we could just grab a tv + ps3 and do the mm without affecting the tournament.
No one is trying to hijack the tournament. No one is trying to run mm or casuals DURING the tournament.
So I’m just trying to understand why me suggesting to do the mm BEFORE the tournament as to NOT INTERFERE with it turned into a giant hoopla of me trying to TAKE OVER T11. I’m a little confused.
Anyway, I’m fine with doing it after the team tournament.

Oh yeah that would be awesome! Its been brought up before, and so long as the hotel internet connection will allow it nothing is stopping him from setting up stream there.
It’s not you, it’s the other whiners who have nothing else to do but over complicate the situation. Door will open at 6p. If we are ready before, we can open it before. Again, i don’t have a problem with money matches, just don’t do it during the tournament. Trying to avoid what happened last year. I do hope you understand.
