T. Hawk really exploded in popularity since his second Ultra was revealed. “Exploded” being a relative term.
I think his super really impressed me first. His U2 just sealed the deal!
I don’t think it’s because of the second ultra, rather he now has a safe move…that being condor spire. After throws and certian knock downs I see poeple using this to get in on the opponent. Seems faster than the dash and builds meter.

Is his cr.MK Special cancellable this time around? It was one of his better Normals IMO, but it sucked that you couldn’t follow up with Tomahawk Buster in SSF2T/HD Remix, although I think he could in Alpha 3, unsure.
I don’t think it is, but I though that was simply his best tick normal? It still very good for tick throws by the looks of it.
Ah, ok then, awesome. I’m not the greatest at Tick Throws, but I know they help characters with Command Throws greatly.
Problem is that you can just jump or reversal out of it in SF4.
I jsut cant see why they don’t switch his super to his first ultra. i really don’t like his 1st ultra. Tomahawk slam then sit on him? his super looks far more devastating Tomahawk slam jump up and catch him again fro another Tomahawk slam.
Just saw that Abel vs T.Hawk vid, looks like Condor Spire is going to be used similarly to Gief’s Green Hand; whiff to get in range for tick throw, or get punished if it’s blocked. I’m going by when Hawk did Condor Spire, whiffed, and was able to block Abel’s Ultra.
It also seems to tick quite nicely on hit, just like green hand (If the opponent doesn’t see it coming, which they always do)
Best tick in ST/HDR is probably Standing Neutral Jab. BS priority, awesome range, fast, and little knock back.
Started to get somewhat annoyed at how pretty much nobody used Hawk in ST/HDR, and now because he’s so “powerful”, everyone is flocking to him. Ugh.
I used him a lot in HDR, him and Zangief. I never played ST XD
Gasp! People like to play good characters? What a travesty.
Well, I think he’ll be more popular, but not overly popular. Kids will still flock to ken, ryu, akuma, and sagat. I still won’t ever play a rufus online and I’ll fight a T.hawk about as often as I fight a Gief, which is fairly rare in comparison to the formerly mentioned characters. But be on the look out for TONS of Guys (the character, not guys in general). Kids love ninjas.
Offline could be totally different though.
Pink Hawk’s been my 2nd main since ST/HD Remix days… I was sadden by SF4, now I am for sure gonna pick him up again as my 2nd main…
