Thanks for uploading! Koji looked pretty good (think he could have won that second round against momochi if he’d jumped over on knockdown, but maybe cody would have gotten up too fast for that, I dunno).

around 2:10, Koji catches yun with a ex spire, crosses up, has his cl.mp blocked, and catches Yun’s backdash with a lp spire for a knockdown. badass new gimmick for Hawk.
against momochi, I think he did pretty well, but what killed his offensive momentum is Cody’s anti-airs. he’s got unique anti-airs that are unusually good at countering stuff like body slam. he maybe would have been better off trying to attack with another air normal (not sure which though). there’s also the fake rock throw he fell victim to (most annoying gimmick), which he could have escaped using ex hawk dive. these are match-up specific things. still an awesome match.
in fact, all these Koji matches are awesome. they’re so fun to watch :rock:

Aqua nice start with Hawk
Only watched a few matches (mainly typically bad ones like Gat and Guile). Some pointers:
General stuff - Use his c.hk less than you do - seemed to get you in more trouble than anything else. It’s a good move, but becomes more effective mixed with outher stuff. More LP SPD for follow up. Going for the damage on HP is not to be sniffed at, but I never saw one in about 5 matches - no cross ups or mix ups either because of that. Hawk can stun very quickly if you can trap your opponent and it’s round over in that case. Also learn strings into safe EX spire for pressure - it leaves you at advantage on block and if they try and jump it hits, really good for keeping the pressure on. Also noticed you never use Hawks splash or jump down mp.
Gat -throw in a few neutral jumps outside his hard kick range to get him worried about dive if he fireballs.
Honda - add some back jumps to bait his headbutts if he is flinging them from full screen.
Guile - Condor dive is probably too riskly in that match as is jumping. Ex Spire is good. If he walks back take his space. If he comes behind boom the occasional ex spire can get you in very well.

I’m still levelling up my T.Hawk and trying improve my execution and match-up knowledge. But we have a group of people that meet up at my University to play SSFIV/MvC3 every Friday and we finally recorded some first to 5 games. I got blown up on most of them but I did win a FT5 against an Abel (the player actually mains a Juri) so I thought I’d use it as a chance to get some feedback from you guys.

I hadn’t actually played all week when this set started so I needed to warm up (I feel I play a bit better as the set goes on - especially in part 2) and I’m not too familiar with the Abel match up as it is. But any feedback or suggestions you could give me would be great :]

I dunno what Ryu was thinking, with that much health he should have just EX SRK > FADC > U1. If Hawk backdashed it wouldn’t have mattered anyway, he’d be dead.
I love watching people destroy Hawk (is that weird? I main him but I love to see him get clowned on) like he did in the first round. He’s so terrible in Super.
If hawk backdashed and he just sat there then he still has a chance. That’s his thought process. Much less risky than exSRK since anyone actually doing lvl3 FA is rare. Someone with an ultra like Balrog or Fei that moves forward and has invincibility could just do it on wakeup and catch all of TH options. And like you said exSRK blows it up if released. It was a bad play at the right time for Hawk. Obviously.
Well, both of them played really well, that’s for sure. The Hawk double cross up dive is rare and that definitely screwed up the other guy.
